Yum! Nice looking buds man, you got some solid smoke for awhile with that. I gotta figure out when to chop my beauty soon, can't wait. What step are you taking for drying and curing?

im gonna hang it for 7-10 days then i will put it into my airtight glass jars to cure for another couple weeks opening daily for burping till all moisture is gone.

Sweet, calyxes look swollen, buds can't wait for you to toke them, can see that in their.. well.. anyway, about curing, man I bought boveda humidipak, could not find that in NL, so I just said fck tht and ordered from US, $10 for 10x8g packs and $13 for shipping. BUT it was so much worth it. When you are curing your buds the best RH is 60-65%, above 69% you'll be getting mold, bellow 57% curing stops. Boveda has two way control humidity pack. Seriously, you just drop one of those 8gram packsinto the jar together with dried buds and the pack keeps stable level of moisture. I just open few times per week just to let some fresh air in.

I got those boveda packs too, they are great, they keep the buf not too dry and not wet at all, just a perfect smoke. So you just dry your buds for a few days and then toss a boveda in there and it will cure it? That'y why I bought them, I really wanted a proper cure with all the smell and taste that everyone loves and that I didnt get my first grow.

yeah exactly, on my 1st grow it took 1 month to cure those buds, so i would not taste old grass in a smoke, with boveda 1 week and it smokes like sweet and tasty.
drying depends on humidity, in my place it's 40% rh and it dries in 6 days, after tht i just drop em in a box with boveda pack and keep tht for a week. also the way it burns... even a texture of buds, like a peace of cloth, not like that crusty dried fast burning texture u get without humidipak

Good to know! My girls right now have the most incredibly sweet smell and are just looking so tasty so I want to get the full effect.

You drop the 7 day dried buds in a cardboard box with the boveda pack or a mason jar?

no it has to be sealed. no air coming in or out, I actually did not find any mason jars around me so I just reused 1liter icecream boxes that closes quite tight. otherwise I would have to replace boveda packs way more often...

gratz man on your yield. Any smoke reports?

Also two days ago my friend called me asking for help, cause something weird was happening to him under 400W hps system. His main colas was too close to the lamp and even if temps were controlled because of the light saturation thing his top colas became albino colas with bleached leaves as in this post: http://www.420magazine.com/forums/budding-cycle/75120-light-bleached-albino-bud.html
never thought that 400W hps could be too much for plants if it's too close to the light.
Cheers

haha nice, happy for ya.
about the smell I had that too, but my buds were dry and crusty and only when broken with a grinder they were giving aroma, but man, after I dropped that boveda pack, lol odor fills all the bar(where I keep my jars) and 1 meter around it hehe, not so good for stealth though lol.

when the BLT is going down?
