Maybe I'm not as worldly as you, I've only driven the east coast of North America from Nova Scotia to Miami. Maybe it's a matter of perspective, you see it as being the most free, I see it as being the least oppressed and in the last 15 to 20 years there has been a considerable constriction of the Constitution. Why are people fighting to get here for a "better life"? Maybe because of decades, centuries even, of poor foreign policies and manipulation for our own benefit, or a private interest, with no regard to these countries.
