Thankz bruv....very simple system really (after i sorted my troubles out)

Maybe i'll update to the Rebels 660nm in time....and put a couple more Cree Xpe bars down in the early weeks section...

my XPGs should get here tomorrow. I'm intending to run them @ 900ma and am thinking of slapping 1 X Cree xp-e Red and 2 X rebel 660nm on the remaining lip of the Arctic 11 Plus CPU cooler and run them on a separate 700ma driver. Ya ya, I'm sure it's a bad idea, but don't we like to do that which we are not supposed to do? The heatsink/fan is rated to cool 100W CPU (to what temp I'm not sure) and I'll likely only be around 50W of LED.
Sweet....be sure to post photos and more details of your process. :)

wow, they popped up early. @ 900ma they pull 30W from the plug, and geez they are bright! I got 2X WW and 1X CW from the same vendor. My arctic silver epoxy won't be in until tomorrow so I'll mount the plates then. I haven't ordered any of the reds yet. To be honest, I probably don't need the reds since I likely have that spectrum covered from the other panels that are going in. I'll keep kicking it around. I just like the thought of a nice, tidy, relatively inexpensive package.

If I used both WW plates/floods (20X ww xpg) and the 1 CW plate/flood (10X cw xpg) and I added 2 xpe red and 4 rebel 660s (I substituted the DR Oslon since they don't have rebels available to pick from) - the spectrum would look ~something~ like this:

without the CW plate/flood, it would look ~something~ like this:

Hi Chronikool, Iv'e been lurking about your thread, pretty interesting stuff. I have two MH/HPS grows but have recently added a couple of cheap (abt 90w) led panels to the sides of my 600w (gone from 4x4' to 4x7' room). I see those floodlights also come in White (abt 4500k iirc). I'm merely a newby so go easy but do you (or other elders) think these would be a worthwhile addition to fill in around the gaps (or stay with WW floodlights) around my small panels and HPS... I'm happy to cut this to the Newbie LED topic but yours seems the most relevant.. and i'm subbed :peace: That mantis is pretty cool.

I'm sure he'll chime in, but you can definitely use the flood lights to fill in the empty space. (Have you considered a light mover?)

The 600 is fine now (winter here) but Iv'e been trying to get my head around LED to replace it for summer... light mover is a step too far just now.. use the whole room for flowering so i'm keen to try some alternatives, additions to the two 150(90) watt panels for the few I have going.. (so iv'e got a 90 either side of the 600 but it's not gonna fill the corners is obvious.

Interested in white, iv'e read some other discussions about the WW/CW and last night theories about the White at 4000-4500k. Anyhow.. these floodlights tha Cronik and a few others are using look great for a mix/ for a bit of experimenting (on the cheap ;-))

I think it's brought out my inner geek, been sticking bag seed in the ground and hoping for the best for nearly 30yrs, this is way more fun!! lol

Hey C, what's up from the land of Upside Down? They got Fall where you are or just penguins ;)? So I blew half my diodes on my 2 10 watt 5000Ks spotlights, (let's have a toast to shit cooling ladies and germs bongsmilie), and am going to replace them with 2x10 watt 20000K hybrids. B+R for the white crowd, though Guod knows where they put the red?

Wow, look at all...that....fuckin........green LOL. You probably have to run these things to spec to get any useful red, but it could be interesting. Peace C.

Oh really....how long did those 10w floodeze last? You have been using them for a while yeah?

They look pretty interesting.....maybe that would be my next option when mine go...although they are getting a good cooling with the temps at the moment, :)

Quite a shit 1st up harvest i must say, but i knew it would be....the next round is all about improving on that.

Pineapple Express (wet weight): 51 grams (6 plants) The pineapple express produces bigger but fluffier buds

Acid (wet weight) 32 grams (3 plants)

Total: 83 grams wet.

Hey C, yeah those were my original one's so they're about ....., yeah like I have the ability to remember how old they are, LOL , but you sorta remember when I got them I bet, so I can't complain. The only reason I noticed they were blown was when I went to check the area where I have the drivers and noticed the drivers were running waaaaay too cool. That's when I flipped the ghetto hood and saw the blown diodes. The plants I have under them are fine, albeit I want slow growth in that section and they're as healthy as ever under them so they never hinted that there was a problem with the lights.

And that's the problem with the world, there's not enough Penguins floating past on on mother fucking ice drifts to remind us all to smile. :)

looks good man!

i have a possible suggestion after seeing the soil (maybe you've already been over it)
it looks great for soil, but i would suggest adding a ton of perilite to it. it could enable your plants to grow a lot more.. meaning much bigger buds.
Have you tried or considered it?

Good suggestion bruv... :)

I use a little bit of Zeolite in it...but i should use more .....actually come to think of it....the 1st run didnt have any of that in it... that may be why my 2nd, 3rd and 4th runs are so much bigger...

Just saw 5 x WW 10 watters for $12.50 (just the array) with shipping. Shit man, SMD arrays are getting so cheap why even cool them? LOL Just mount them on the drivers and hang them by a piece of string. Or get pie tins like that guy's grow lights on EBay LOL.

And is that pie made with real or artificial Eskimos???? I need to know :-P.
