I apologize sir
Didn't mean to come across arrogant at all.
Just surprised no one else has chimed in.
Tty was the guy that convinced me to try the qbs.
I run 2 boards over a 2x3 and I've been more then happy with the results.
I switched from hid lighting and i won't ever run a big bulb again.
What kind of yields are u getting with ur current light?
This is the only reason I joined this forum was to find out more info about QBs lol. Sorry I thought you were being arrogant glad to see it wasn't meant that way! So this is funny cause I actually haven't even finished my first harvest with the 5 p300s so I actually can't even talk about yield on them. I am new to growing and found the p300s on Craigslist for what I thought was a good deal. Everywhere you look online says they are great. Until I joined grasscity and riu lol. So I am trying to figure out if I should make the switch sooner than later while I can still get some money back on the p300s. Thank you for chiming into help me. I do appreciate help since I'm new to this. Just trying to grow good medicine while doing it efficiently. Any other questions that I can answer that might help your input let me know. Thanks again!

Torontoke my bad I didn't realize that question was directed toward tty and not me lol

I keep hearing how platinum led is outdated and not as efficient as these QBs. I keep searching and trying to gather enough info to justify myself switching from 5 p300s to 3 QBs. Be nice to stare at clear vs blurple but I need more of a reason to switch than that haha
Better spectrum, far more efficient, less cost per watt of actual output.

That's three already!

Hoping that someone coumd help me out. I am a longtime HPS grower but i woukdike to make the jump to LED and i am leani g toward QB but I am still trying to get up to speed on LED so I confess that I am a LED newb.

Would someone be able to tell me what the difference is between the following 2 kits on the HLG Site;
250W XL LED BOARD KIT (I believe it is longer hence the XL)
260W QB LED KIT

I can see the obvious 10w difference but didn't know if I am missing something else. I would like to pick up 2 kits for a 3x3 or my 4x4 tent.

Thanks for any assistance.

its only the heatsinks as far as I can see the 260 has a 2 board heatsink and can be driven harder with that finned heatsink
the 250 is 3ft wide holds 3 boards but its not finned but both have the same drivers and QB's so Its only the heatsinks as far as i can see

Thanks. That's about all I could see. But again I am just starting out in the LED field so I was not entirely confident in my assumption. I suspect that 2 kits would do okay in my 3x3 or my 4x4?

I want to get a couple kits to see what's up. Then once I have more knowledge I will build but I want to build one or two big 4 or 6 board panels. I don't mind spending a bit extra to get my feet under me and I am pretty handy, just not knowledgeable enough on LED yet.

Thanks for the heads up tho I do appreciate your suggestion and the cost savings that you mention.
