    In DIY terms its just turning a screw driver and pushing a few wires into the connectors.

    Same as my cob build was, but visualization is king. I was almost sold on it, but growmau5 clinched the deal for me. I'd love some detailed videos, less dependent on my reading comprehension lol.

    For a dedicated veg tent (5x5). would you guys recommend some vero cob framework from Timber or some Quantum Boards....?
    Also, if the QB's... what setup would you go with for a 5x5?

    400 watt VeroV7 framework is good.
    Or 5 QB at 100 watt each or so.

    4 boards on the 240-C2100b would be great, but maybe overkill? I think 3 boards would be good on a 240-C1750b. You'd get roughly 65watts per board at max. I'm going to run 2 in a tent with slightly more sq.ft.

    Between 2.1-2.2 umol/j about 150 lm/w system level (after driver loss) @110vac

    Would it require active cooling/dedicated heat sinks, etc?

    4000k and 5000K boards are same price as 3000K $75
    Slate 1 14.75
    Slate 2 19.75
    These should be stock around 25th.

    @robincnn i know this has posted but can't find it. At what point in driving the boards would we need to use the slate 2 ?

    at 1050 you can use either. if more airflow then Slate 1 will work.
    for low air movement grows and 1050+ Slate 2 is better.
    I will do a parallel test of Slate 1 and 2 once i receive Slate 2. We will have better data then.

    1050ma = how many Watts ? Sorry but this will make it easy for other people to follow along with myself.

    Slate Heatsinks yes. Active cooling not really. Regular grow room air movement does really well. The thermal images I posted where from no air movement at this drive current. So 55-60c no air movement. Some air movement is really good.

    Thank you! I'm well below that with the slate 1 at 75w per board. I ran 50w up to flower and bumped it up to 75w per board. I have two circulation fans in my tent, one up top blowing down and another giving a slight breeze around the canopy. That and a filtered 4 inch extract fan. It's still very cool in my tent setup and I have to use a heater just to keep things above 75.

    8-12 boards 4 240 drivers. I like the idea of 3 boards per 240 driver. Use HLG-240-2100A and you will achieve around 290+ watts wide open per driver/3 board combo. This will give you a great amount of light for flowering in that space.

    @Stephenj37826 what's the watts running @ each for 2 QB on a meanwell HLG-185C-1400B in series ? wide open non dimmed
