DIY with Quantum Boards

I only got one size. It's the gray version, not the clear (sorry, I'm referencing the LEDGardener video, which shows two styles - one gray, and one clear). I've tried both sides of the DC cable on every wago I got, but they just won't go in the damn hole! Maybe I need a bigger size? Do they sell these things at hardware stores?
Yes they do and this is very odd.

I'm at a loss. Looking into the hole in the wago, I can see a tab which I assume is part of the lock-down mechanism; it sits right in the center of the hole, and the space on either side is definitely too small for the gauge of this DC cable. Guess I'll have to wait one more night to flip the switch on this bad boy. A trip to Menards after work tomorrow, and I should be good to go.

Make sure you unlock it all the way man those tabs can be stubborn
Yeah, I thought the tabs might just be stuck, but I've put a LOT of force into lifting them, and they're clearly fully extended. Nothing is working. Have you had success with (specifically) the DC wires and the gray (not clear) wagos that come in the kit?

Okay, I'm a dumbass. I knew I had to be doing it wrong! You were right about the tabs - I had no idea they were THAT tight! Holy hot damn! I was afraid I was going to break it right off, but it finally flipped over. Which actually makes me feel pretty good about how well they'll hold.

Pardon my density, and thanks again for the assist!

No worries glad we got you sorted out. That's why I was stressing this they're tight as heck especially when new.

Good luck growing :)

Just wanted to make sure the board can be powered from either side of the board.

Or is there a input output side?

Thanks in advance

Well I don't know how to rotate the pics, but here's my new light set up over some HSO Blue Dream plants. The panel is about 16 inches from the top of the tallest plant, and I have the current at half, so I'm pulling 80w from the wall. How does that sound for veg? I really haven't the faintest notion of what's what when it comes to LED lighting!

And damn, this thing is sexy. Beautiful light.

Those plants are sexy! What are you growing?
Me? Blue Dream from HSO. All planted from seed at the same time, but that one in the middle just went nuts from the very beginning. These are fem seeds, so I'm hoping the growth rate isn't due to the plant being a male!

what size wire are you using? You only need 18 gauge max 18 and 20 gauge are more than adequate. I found some 18 gauge, twinlead at the hardware store ( true value ) that works great and is much more flexible than the solid wire. I put a wago on it just before the QB board and use a short length of 18 gauge solid core from the wago to the board. Only use solid core fore the board connections, the wire clips on the board DON'T like stranded wire .... almost ruined one trying it.

And I only hung that Hotshot for an hour before another bath with just water from a hose. I normally wouldn't do that but I'll be damned if I'll lose this crop to fucking mites!
