DNA'S "Lemon OG Kush" grow.....

Considering Skywalker or one of the hybrids in a crop or two.......I guess I should have pinched more as 6-7 of these are about 6 1/2 ft. tall. The indica leaning pheno is only around 4 ft tall, so it's been a challenge to manipulate the plants so light is evenly distributed.

Exactly week 6 in flowering today.......thinks are "chunking" up nicely although maybe a bit slower going than I would have thought. I went back and found someones thread about the strain and he said the resin production starts full-on the end of week six, and they are quick finishers between 65-70 days so no worries now. I've started the bloom Hydroplex bud booster now and am only giving the Botanicare bloom (1-4-5) now until day 60 when I'l switch to plain water for the flush- no more veg ferts. Smell is strong and musky, very kushy. Plants are using lot of water, seems like I water every other day right now.

Every Monday I post.....been busy with the Triple Crown races where I run a forum on horse betting so this time of year my grow postings slow down.

Today is exactly 7 weeks into flowering. Getting very stinky, and some of the tallest plants are having difficulty holding up the top colas. I will say this though, the buds have an incredible density to them, like rock hard nugs already. So thick though, I am forced to leave a fan on and the exhaust system running all night too for fear of mold. The indica leaning plants will probably be done a week ahead of the taller sativa plants, but the most finished plant is tall and probably could be chopped in a week- it's that far along. Since it's so early, I will hold that plant aside for a breeding project IF the buzz is worthy.

As usual, the pic doesn't do the room justice. The yield will be greatly enhanced by the thickness of the buds, that's for sure but it's not a strain for the easily frustrated as there are numerous pheno's with a wide range of tall and short plants, bushy and lanky phenos, and difference in finishing points. So tonight I'll start cutting the lights back to on 11 on/off 13 to help things along and max doses of fertilizer for another week or so, then the flush begins. Still going to 70 days where necessarily, and my Sweet Seeds Jack 47 FV seeds are ready to go.

Ah, sorry bro, you do too, I update once a week too. Sorry to bust your balls bro!!
Cool, a betting forum hey, sounds interesting!

Holy shit balls mate, that is one very dense canopy...those buds are massive!! Looks like you have a good yield coming!! Will you run it again or look for something else?

Time will tell, probably not enough indica in it for me to do again. One of my buddies is reporting Wappa from Paradise seeds I think his thc test came back at like 26%, which is mostly indica I think so I may look at those after the Jack47 run.
This was not an easy grow by any means, easy to keep healthy but the different phenos made it a real challenge. Stuff is falling, bending away from light, etc. anything with skunk in it is usually tough indoors I've found. I'll keep the one plant that produced well and is done extra early just in case it's mind blowing or super lemony.......until I know for sure.

I don't want anyone thinking I am unhappy with this strain......my issue, my only issue, has to do with the wide spread of phenos, making it a difficult room to control. Otherwise, the plants are healthy and easy to take care of, the buds are dense, and sticky as shit. And I still have 2-3 weeks to go as I plan on letting them get REALLY done. DNA is legit, I've been nothing but happy with everything I've grown of theirs, and it's a bunch.

Sounds good mate. Torally understand about the range of pheno's, makes it hard to plan and manage a space! I'm sure it will be worth it though mate!!

Day 50 in flowering, I tried my 1st piece tonight. On the most done plant in the room, I cut a little branch down low with 3 little buds on it. I put it in a food dehydrator for around 4 hours. It was dry enough to burn but the center was still a bit wet. Did 2 hits on the Roor, and after 10 minutes I thought I post an early review.

"Tasty for being dried that quick, kushy is my first taste, much like my vaporizer tastes. The dehydrator really kills off the taste.

High is mostly heady, especially in the eyes. A bit euphoric, am listening to some music with the headphones. Very dry mouth. I'd say it's an 8.5/10 right now.........mostly front of the head.

That's a good initial report mate, I'd say you're in for some really potent buds!!

Week 8 today into flowering..........a few things.

1. The tops are extremely heavy and dense. Many of the plants need support, especially the more sativa leaning and taller ones. This room is one of the toughest I've grown to keep orderly and organized. Shit wants to fall everywhere.

2. I cut a well done piece and quick dried it and it was like blueberry pie. Don't know where the berry like smell and taste are from, but it's there and it's prominent.

3. Many of the plants are very fruity like with a kushyness to them. Haven't seen anything lemon or citrus like, but loads of fruit.

About 1/2 the plants I'm guessing will be done in a week, the rest in 2 weeks at most. Maybe a pic up later........

Sounds like you got some massive buds mate, which is good, but a pain in the ass to manage lol.
I like the sound of the smell too, sounds delicious!!

The sweet fruity smell is what stands out just now.....i can only imagine what it will be like in another 1-2 weeks..... but what a bitch of a strain to manage. You know, I think I had similar problems with the OG #18 when I grew that. The monster center cola must be near 3/4+ oz when dried.....

Yeah man, another 2 weeks and she'll smell like an exotic fruit shop ha ha.

I can only imagine how much work you are putting in to keep it semi managable...that's interesting about the Og #18...for an og...
