If anyone reads books checkout Utopia by Sir Thomas Moore...Its a bit of a tough read and its only 150 pgs long but definetly worth the time because of the way it describes a society without the corruptions and disfunctions that we face in ours its a must read yet u have to take time to interpret what its saying because of the dialect.An evolutional view of how society and mankind should be towards one another.

If you want a technical answer read the book ''Moral Minds''. If you want the short of it ill try to explain. Im an athiest yes, yet i believe in 6(the last 6)of the Ten Commandments. Why???Cause these 6 Commandments are good for the future of the human race. I say good for the human race but maybe terrible for other animals and nature but there is a survival of the fittest in our way of life. If we all killed whoever we want and took whatever we wanted we wouldnt be where we are now. So when you say ''athiest views'' i dont quite understand what your saying. I have American views yes.
The moral factory in your brain works in the same way as your ability to learn a language. When your raised in America you do things a certain way and dont understand (speak the language) of a foreign country that has different views unless you strive to realize why(learn a new language). Cannibalism for example. To us this seems animalistic because we were raised learning this is wrong. The book Moral Minds did an interesting study. Videos were shown to Americans and primitive tribes of people dying while having a brain scan. Intersestingly enough the Americans had brain activity in different areas where the tribesman did not. This doesnt make them heathens in my mind. Just different and closer to our animal roots.. If you were raised with that tribe you would be just like them(speaking the same language). The American way is more Evolved yes? Why has our way flourished and they still live in the jungles? Im pretty sure its not because of the christian god.
The christian god says ''thou shall not kill yet we put people to death in our own country and go to other countries to kill. Moses wrote no ammendment in small letters that says ''unless they did something bad'' so let me ask you. Is the USA ran under christian views?? Did moses say '' THOU SHALL NOT COVET THY NEIGHBORS STUFF unless you really want it''(sorry Native Americans and Mexicans). Just a thought...

Just watched Trancendant Man! great doc! Everyones fighting over where we have been. Would it not make more sense to question/debate where we are going? I think it will be preety cool to sit at the bottom of my pool without a snorkel or external air "tank". Our grandkids will not only invent the newest craziest technologies they will BE it!
