I ll be mixing up a small batch of supersoil (my own recipe!) today and buy 3 more garbage bins to store it. I currently have 3 bins, 1 with fresh supersoil, 2 are loaded with soil from previous grows, I am doing the Bokashi thing. But I want to make sure that it sits for a long time before I use it, (that's why I am mixing some more today) So that in September, I ll do half of my plants in re-used soil and the other half in freshly mixed supersoil. If things are workin out this way I will only have to buy soil for seedlings and to transplant, but I won't have to buy soil for the supersoil anymore. Not to mention the saving on nutrients.

If I ever convince anyone to go the supersoil route, great! I can even share my recipe, but I would recommend following sub's recipe the first time you do it... I want to make sure I don't lose it, so here it is:

2x 3.8 cu.ft. Promix

.75kg Canola Meal 6-3-1 (that was half the bag I bought I believe)
2.2kg Flower Power Mix 4-10-4
about 50 grams garden pro trace elements 0-0-3

5cups Neem Cake 4-3-2
4cups Flower Guano 2-17-0
3cups glacial dust rock
2cups Greensand 0-1-8
2cups Alfalfa Meal

30liters worm castings
2 Tbsp humic acid (mix with water and sprayed over the whole pile when it's all mixed up)

I also watered the soil with a little Cal-Mag, and this time I will also use fish emulsion on it, just to get things going!

That is my first run with this recipe and things are looking really good so I ll stick with it for a while.

I am so pleased with it, before the light goes off in the morning I go downstairs and just stare at them, I can be standing there in the door way 5-10 minutes just looking at them! haha, sure is a nice way to start the day!!

5-10 minutes of doing nothing but staring at them, ... of course I spend a lot more than 5-10min a day on my hobby!!

I am already thinking of the next batch, ... I don't know whether it's too early or not but it does take forever to germ/sprout/grow the seeds so I am putting seeds in TP today. I am starting 8 REG seeds for now, a faster flowering strain this time around, I will grow some genetic from Jordan of the Island, GOD's TREAT!!! 6-7 weeks. Then at some point I will grow Oh God too, so it will be a very Godly Fall!!! I think if I start the seeds now they will be ready to transplant and flower around mid-August.

Tomorrow I will try to think of taking pics before the light goes on and do some bud shots

Happy Growing

It looks damn good doesnt!? The canopy is not reallly even, but it seems to me like the yield should be pretty decent considering I wasnt home much to take care of them. Also, they are pretty big for 12/12, I don't even see the point in vegging anymore!! CHEERS

They look like they are coming along very nicely, endur0! great job, keep it up! I'm sure you've said somewhere in here before but how far away are you keeping the lights from the tops?

hehe man I had the light so far from the tops, then I went away for 2 weeks with my woman taking care of them, when I came back some tops were nearly touching the light I had to bend them, not to mention I cannot move any plants now because they don't fit through the door and watering the containers at the other end of the room is quite a sport. I am going downstairs with the measuring tape now and see how far from the floor she is.

The light is 54'' from the floor, each plant is 3 feet above soil (the 10gallons are about 12''tall), and 3 of them I had to tie down or bend... at the moment most plants have a few tops at 4-6'' from the light, and everything seems fine!

The one Chemdog that matured faster, I tied it down before I went for the 2 weeks coze it was already stretching like crazy and now light is at about 12+'' from the tops, and it's growing really nice fat buds

some of them, including the K-trains, were not even 12'' when I left (you can see earlier in the journal I thought they were kind of stunt) and I came back they were monsters!! one k-train was burned on the top because it was touching the FERO (not the big light, but the first fero I bought, which by the way I thought I bleached some plants in the past with it but now I have come to realise it must have been nutes lock or something because I have had this light really close now with no bleach!)...

Like I said earlier, if I would have been home the whole time things would look even better!!!

the K-train before I left, and I could be wrong but the next picture was about 2 weeks later!

on img_5369 (the 11th picture if you watch it as a slide show) you can see my biggest bud, and around it the picture is blurred but you can still see the other buds on that same plant are all a fair size. Looks pretty nice to me!!

I cannot wait for her to be ready and take her out of the room to see what she really looks like!! I am thinking about 20days for that one

That plant is going to produce in that 11th picture for sure.

Its funny how you go down to take one pic and come back up with tons more. Then ya gotta figure out which ones are keepers. For me it gets tough as I'm usually heavily medicated by the time Im deciding.

I cant wait for the yield on this one, It's hard to see how much is on there!! taking her out of the room for a photo shoot is not an option until she is ready !!

What sort of EC or ppm's are you feeding right now mate?
Just plain water bud, ... I rock the supersoil, if you read through the journal you will find my supersoil recipe.

i just got ultimate lens 320 from GrowCraft (http://www.growcraftdirect.com). Looks like that fero light, hope it performs as well. Do I need to water less since there is not as much heat?
The light has the same frame and same lens, only I don't know if it has the same inside components, and most likely has different spectrum configuration. You might need to water less, it depends on your setup I don't know, I dont really pay attention to the frequency of watering, I have enough going on that I have to check the room daily but I don't water all that often.
