i've been too occupied to get a bigger pot for the little one in the back, so for now, it's sitting on the bench lol thanks for the encouragement :blsmoke:

here are some more pics...

maybe i have a green thumb afterall:

my little babies are growing up so fast:

fairly certain this is a female, but waiting for more development...

can you imagine if it worked this way for people? your parents take pics of you when you pass ten, and then post them asking people for advice about whether or not it's a boy or a girl lol... ok, how 'bout this one?:

the underneath isn't getting tons of light, but hopefully the branching will continue... seems not too bad, but i might see if i can get some fluros to mount at all sides of the grow, and add some mylar panels or something on all the sides:

just watered and fed 'em tonight, and they're a couple of inches taller since my last pics... none of them are really showing their definite sex yet, but there are tiny, baby pre-flowers developing on most of the nodes of most of the plants. i'm gonna put the light on 12/12 i think on tuesday, so i'm sure they'll reveal themselves soon after that.

i think i'm gonna use my same mh bulb for flowering, 'cause it's the agrosun gold- multi-spectrum bulb, which has some hps light in it... this way, i'm hoping to make the buds a little on the strong side, since the uv light from mh is supposed to cause the plants to form more thc than a plain hps would, and the orange-red spectrum part of the agrosun gold will help make more buds than a plain mh would... i realize it'll yield a little less buds than an hps, but that's okay if the thc ends up being stronger with the mh. i'm thinking i'll add some cfls around the sides to boost the lumens a bit.

i'll post some more pics in a couple of days- thx for asking wutter :bigjoint:

well, i may put these into 12/12 after monday (tomorrow)... here are some new pics.

overhead shot of the garden:

side shot of the garden:

closer side shot of the garden:

biggest plant's under-canopy area:

tip of the biggest plant's new growth is reaching 18 inches, my goal for 1.5 feet before starting the flower cycle... i was sort of tempted to let the plants go in veg until they show alternating nodes, but god knows how big they'll get if i do that... don't have the space or the light (or the patience, for that matter) for that:

still have lots and lots of pre-preflowers everywhere... i guess i won't know anything until i actually change the light phase... i'm so compulsive about looking at all the nodes of all 9 plants to see if any are definitively revealing their private parts... starting to feel like a pervert lol:

not sure if these are preflowers or leaves forming on the secondary branches:

i can't wait to see what this smoke will end up being like. i have such a fantasy about it being way better than the bags of weed i originally bought lol :hump:

we'll all see about that in a couple months :blsmoke:

this has to be a female... just barely hitting puberty... certainly not legal... lol... little high, sorry :fire:

i don't know if this one is gonna be a bitch or a dude, but one thing's for sure, we'll all know real soon.:weed:

here are the troubled youths huddling together:

at just under two feet tall, they're almost able to get on the bumper cars!

the temp has been getting milder... as fall draws near, we're settling down to about 80 deg f, making a 6-8 degree change from where we started. humidity is holding pretty consistently at 70ish%

look at this- just tell me they aren't lookin sexy!

you are right wutter, i can't wait, and neither can you lol

unfortunately, i just noticed 2 that look like they're developing balls :-(

i'll post some pics in 7-8 hours when i can go back to the garden.

it's only now that i am starting to feel the impact of not taking clones...

here are pics of 3 plants- two shots of each.

these are the 3 tallest plants, by the way, and they've really shot up and gotten lanky in the past week.

before i send them to their deaths, i would appreciate everyone's feedback... i'm afraid to kill 'em... does anyone dispute that these are definitely males:?:

the temp is 77 deg f right now, and the humidity 65%.

i have removed 3 males, and i think there is at least one other, but i'm gonna wait 'til i know for sure. i'm gonna go kill 'em now, and then quickly repot the 2 small ones i have into the bigger pots. the lights are gonna go off soon, so i better get to it. i'll post some pics in a bit.

so in a few minutes, my grow will be down 3 from nine, totaling six plants, but two are tiny, and one is surely going to be a male. i expect i will end up with two larger females, and who knows what will become of the two tiny plants... don't see preflowers... they were buried under the canopy of the large males for awhile. just didn't repot them because i didn't have a vessel for them.

here's one of three that were executed tonight. they were noble, and proud, it made me really sad to kill them.

the roots from the side:

and from underneath:

these are what's left... six in all, two of them in tiny pots were put in the big ones, and i lifted the others out of their pots and put about 4 inches of new soil under them and reset them in the pots again... we'll see how they react to the trauma of new soil and all this moving around and stuff...

god i hope i didn't just fuck this up.

thanks zman, now here's an update...

well, they have survived the night, and hopefully i didn't overly stress em out last night with the repotting.

my indoor sun is about 10-15 inch above tops of the plants... i have some of them on bricks to get the tops pretty even with one another
humidity= 70%
temp= 77 deg F
soil ph seems to be still hangin' just a hair under 7
set on a timer to 12/12 w/ stationary fan to cool the light and wiggle the stems a bit

edit: suspect male is about 30 inches, female and 2 big unknowns are 20-24 inches, two runts are 12-18 inches

now have 6 plants in the garden, one confirmed female, one probable male, and 4 unknowns. two of the unknowns have been in tiny pots for quite a while, and so i repotted them in larger containers after killing the confirmed males last night. i knocked one of the small ones over about a week ago, and it's turned into a sideways grow. i also lifted the larger plants out of their containers and filled the bottoms with soil- they were only a little over half full of soil before that.

things i know i will do differently next grow:

1. i'm going to have all the different size pots i will need on hand, and will stick to a definite transplanting schedule.

2. take clones during veg to find the boys and girls, and establish mothers... it's disappointing to get to this stage and discover the males, even if you know there is roughly 50% chance of either females or males.

3. excellent seeds... working on getting some now!

things i can change before the end of this grow:

1. paint the walls

2. air-tight seal the room, and better position the co2 tube

i'd love to hear anyone's feedback about what other things i could adjust, now, or on the next grow.

here are the pics:

not sure what this is going to be:

this is my only confirmed female, god forbid it turns out to be a hermie!:

here's the sideways runt- tried to show the shape of the trunk with the illustration:

one more garden shot from above:

as always, thanks for checking out my grow, and please post away- all comments, good, bad and ugly are welcome :joint:
