Update: shoot so all 4 of the durbans turned to be male. :wall:

We still have our bagseed and she is floweing quite nice. I've taken on clone from her and its been over a week and the leaves are starting to turn yellow from nitrogen deficiency.

The other two clones i took, their mother plant ended up being a dude so their gone. they had roots too:sad:

Question: can i spray a light nitrogen solution on the leaves? will they absorb it?

Here are some pics.

1 & 2 are of the girl clone

3 is side branch
4 is cola

opps pics will be below

......I am not sure if the sraying will help or not(I've just never been a fan of it). It may help and when they're yellowing as they are they need nute......did you plan to veg them in the cloner? If you do remember that N will inhibit root growth quite a bit on any that aren't rooted good.....

As ru8fru said, the pistils may be getting too much heat........something else that has been my experience is having them dry out like that from too much fan action. I think that's why you hear to not have fans blowing down on your plants. I am sure that even can become more of a problem if the RH is too low.........??

Just my 2cents. Hope all is going good for you guys! Sorry to hear about the DP males....

I was spraying just water for a few days but no longer and I wasn't using N in the spray.

The fan is at the bottom of the plant so that wouldn't apply to the top cola browning.

I think it prob is heat, were getting like 92-93 during the hottest part of the day.

Thanks for the feedback guys

you can foliage feed if you want. Just do it when the lights are about to go off (or u on 24hrs for those clones?) Just be careful because to much on em (like beads of water) with the lights on will reflect the light off em and possibly create burn spots, and u want these young ins as stress free as possible, they cant handle it yet.

yea guys ... 92-93= too hot .. try and get it to 85 max

So we took off the carbon filter and the fan now keeps the room at 81-83 during the day and dips to low 68-70 with lights off.

I think were gonna use a O3 generator out side the room for smell.

The fan we were using couldn't handle any static pressure and didn't preform with filter on.

Update: Our female clone finally is getting roots. We took the clone from a flowering plant so it took forever. 2.5 weeks...ugh

We planted 4 new durban seeds and 3 of 4 have popped up:)

and our flowering bitch looks great. ill put up some pic maybe later tonight or tomorrow. Since we fixed the temp prob, the buds are looking way better.

kool where you get those lights from?
Those are 23 watt cfls you can get anywhere. The light fixture we make using a power strip, which is attached to peg board with screw and bolt. And the lights are plugged into light socket to 2 prong connectors(get them at any hardware store)

If you want some pictures and more info look back in the thread when we were building them.
Update: 3 durban seed are above the surface and will be put in our small DWC with the clone.
Bud Porn: here are some pics of the cola, there are a shit ton of bud sites:) but this is the most exciting so here some pics

get you up to speed:
ha well glad you found it now. We are 4 weeks into flowering. We currently only have one plant flowering since 4 of 5 turned out to be male.

We took a clone from our female 2 weeks after flowering started. and it took a while to reveg and get roots but finally we are getting some root action.

We recently plant 4 more seeds and three have sprouted and will be planted into our new small DWC that will be used for clones.

Future plan:

Were working toward have a perpetual harvest so our clone will become a mother and one of the durban seeds planted will become a mother.

We plan on flowering the clones in 1.5 gallon containers, with 8 clones in each box., prob two containters to start with then perhaps three(stay with our medical limit) We will flower them small like 4-6 inches to keep growth vertical without side branches.

Here is a pic of a similar contianer and how the holes will be aligned.

Hydrobandits, it looks like you have a mild Magnesium deficiency (purple stems) give them about 1 tsp of epsom salt per gallon.

Are you using tap water?

Yes we use tap water. The the stems of the fan leaves have always been purple. our nutes have mag in them like 3.5%. Thanks for the heads up, im gonna investigate that.
