Good luck on your super-stealth grow! It looks like it's off to a very good start. I am very anxious to hear if you do receive your seeds as I'm looking to get some myself! But first, lots of practice using bag weed seeds. Some people seem to be die-hard for using the paper towel trick. I didn't have good luck with that. Others will tell you to put the seed in the same medium that you'll be using permanently, in your case the ground. I tried that using a coco/perlite medium and didn't have a single seed sprout. I have, however, had excellent success using a small peat pot and some Miracle Grow SEED STARTING soil. Many, many people will scream when they hear about MG - PERIOD. But if you look around, there are numerous experienced folks who will say the SEED STARTING soil is FINE to start off with. Reason being is that there is very little perlite and/or other aeration and draining compounds in the soil - so it stays nice and moist for a lot longer than what most of us use as a permanent medium. MG seed starting soil does, however, have nutes which many say is a no, no until a week or two into the growth of the plant. I agree with them, but I can't argue with the method that has worked Here's how I do it: I can't disagree with how anal people are about being CLEAN! I have probably lost many possible plants because I forget to wash my hands right before handling the seeds...and after I became ridiculously clean, my success rate has went way up! I disinfect a shot glass, fill it up half way with distilled water. I add my seeds to the water. Initially they will float. They say if you come back 24 hours later and the a seed is still floating, that could be a bad sign but to go ahead and give it a chance anyhow. I usually (after washing my hands) poke at the still-floating seed and it usually sinks, too. The seeds need dark, warmth and moisture to begin life. I read in High Times to take and put a cup over the shot glass - anything to get it in the dark. After it's been 24 hours, return to the seeds and take a small peat pot or small pot of anykind, I guess, and fill it with your favorite seed starting soil (I've mentioned what works for me). I take a toothpick and make a very tiny hole in the top of the soil. I then place the seed in the hole, "knot" end DOWN. The seeds are pointed at one end - that end goes UP. Lightly and loosely bring some soil on top of the seed. I then take a spray bottle, also with distilled water, and gently spray the soil until it has enough to seep down a ways. It does take more than you'd think coming out of a spray bottle, for that reason in itself and because the seed starting soil doesn't drain well so it takes being heavy to propogate it's way down. Now I JUST learned a few days ago that at this point, you're going to want to put this newly planned seed on the same time cycle most of us use for vegetative growth (18/6) and you'll want to put the little pot under a humidity dome (I use plastic wrap and poke holes in the top with a toothpick) to keep in the moisture. Not using 400w lights but something to give it the warmth it needs to grow.

You know I was thinking that you could get it started - in your house where you can care for it easier, and then transplant it where you want it....or, you could take a chance and just put the thing in the ground - you've had success so far doing that. I do understand your concern - if you fail at germination, you're back to buying more seeds. Which brings up another very relevant point. Unless your buying femanized seeds from a seed bank, you only have a 50/50 chance of getting a female. For that reason, it was recommended to me to always buy a 10 or 15 pack (which I know we can't afford to do for the "GOOD SEEDS"). But unless they are femanized and you have really good success at germination, it's definitely going to come with a pucker factor until it sprounds and THEN flowers....it's at that point you'll know if all your effort was put towards excellent practice AND some good bud to smoke, or just practice. Neither of which are a bad thing, but I'd prefer to have both. :-P

I haven't done much reading on growing outdoors - but I do remember reading it being recommended to test the soil pH in several different places around where you intend to grow. Since it looks happy and normal, things likely are fine. I believe it's the same as indoor growing in that if the pH becomes too low (acidic) it will cause the plant to not be able to access the nutes available to it. I thought growing indoors was in-depth...but there are a whole bunch more considerations for outdoor growing I've read...pests, thieves, cops, animals and the occassional human pissing nearby. ;-)

I am subscribing to this thread and will keep checking back! I feel your passion for this stuff - I can't BELIEVE it's not legal.

As the muggy day started here in FL I decided that my 3 seeds that have been germinating for 2 days are ready to be planted so I planted all 3 of them. I used the paper towel method and placed into a blown up zip-lock bag and put into the darkness. I dont think I will have enough room to germinate anymore since I still need to germinate 2 more seeds which are the ak, and trainwreck. Then my spot will be completely covered in Mj trees haha once they start getting big.

My plant that I already started growing is pretty big now.Its workin on its 3rd set of leaves. I might do some lst idk yet

So for now I got 4 plants going and hopefully 2 more. O I also read that worldwide was giving away free seeds with every order so hopefully I'll get some more free strains.

Pics comin in next update

I use the Seed Starting soild to.. start seeds. lol. and then move onto Moisture Control. I have not once had a problem with it.. It makes my plants grow nice and fast.. and turn out ot be monsters!! u can check out my new journal which is in my sig.. and heres the link to my old one..

https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/288470-nirvanas-feminized-white-widow-cfl-69.html

i pulled 3.15 ounces off 1 White Widow plant i vegged for 3 weeks under CFL's.... and i think the MG soild had something to do with it...

Now are you using mg outdoors or indoors? Not sure if that will make a diffrence though. But DAAAM man 3 ounces is alot for only 3 weeks and cfl. I hope I'll be able to produce at least half that or maybe Triple that hhaha we will see.

Well we had some major rain the past couple of days. It sucks to because I planted my seedlings in party cups and stuff and had them outside at my spot well it rained and it pretty much left a puddle in the cup when I got there to check. IF it wasnt for my holes on the bottom for drainage were there they def be dead. Anways the last time I checked during a rain break I put a sandwhiuch bag over the tops of the cups but put a little stick in the middle so the sprout can grow and stay dry but still moist. Hopefully the havent dies yet I didnt check on them today and it also rained today.

And for my big plant that has been growin after it rained it looked so sad. Before it rained the leafs were nice and straight and perked up like tryin to show itself off. Now after it rained it look like it got beaten up and is very sad haha its gotten very big though. Well tomorrow I will take pics of everything it should stay sunny

O and I think tomorrow is when I'll get my TrainWreck AND Auto Ak47, both femanizd plus those extra seeds there sending me when I ordered while they were doin a special

Update Time!

Finally the rain has settled. Not one drop today. Nice hot humid florida day.

It looked like putting the bags over the cups of my sprouts did fairly a good job. I'm lucky I did that because right after I left the spot it started to pour rain again. But since I had them bags over the lil sprouts they were fine. The only bad thing from that was 1 sprout I guess didnt recieve much light from under the bag (which are clear sandwhich bags) but it stretched to the top of the bag pretty much acting like a barrier so the sprout wouldnt grow higher anymore. It seems it has grown to much with not much support. As I was taking the bag off it was pretty much leaning over a quit a bit. Its getting alot of sun now so hopefully it will regain it's strength it needs to support itself again. If not I'll just tie it to a toothpick so it would have something to lean on if it needs support. And the one with the bag over the cup in the pic is a new sprout I planted today. I put the bag over to provide moisture, humidity, and just incase of a hardrain fall to.

I have a few questions about my 2 weeks and 2 day old plant. On top of the plant of where it starts growing new leaves I saw like white hair lookin things. I'm not sure if its just new leaves forming or what. But I also "think" not sure but it has pistils growing where the leaves branches start. Now this is bag seed but I'm wonderin now if it could be a autoflower strain or not. It would be cool if it was haha. But I'll take better pictures on what I'm talking about next time when my camera can actually pic the little parts up.

But yea here are pics, taking today!!

Updates!!!!!!!

Yaaaayy!! Got my seeds today
They look great to. I got Auto Ak47, TrainWreck, SourCream, RockLock, and SharksBreath they are all feminized. I'm only going to germinate the ak,sour cream, and the train. Thats 7 plants in all with the plants I'm already growing so whoa hopefully I'll get some decent yields.

Well my main plant I've been growing is in fact an auto flower as with my other seedling I planted a couple days ago. Those seeds might be feminzed to. Not sure what kind but its def a known strain if its an auto and the seeds came from someone who knows someone that grows. Already the the top leaves are forming thc resin with a lil bud growing in the middle. Its startin to smell like bud to. Its growing quit well to. I'm planning to buy nutrients tomorrow for its next watering.

Also my other seedlings I planted a couple days ago seem to be doin fine and healthy and most of all quit strong.

I'm not sure how I'm going to dry these buds I'm thinking about getting a big cooler and outline the inside with wood and have hooks to hang the bud and maybe a small portable fan. And have it outside. I'll have the top on it so no insects or anything can get in.

Has anyone ever dried bud outside in something they made. I cant dry it indoors family is coming down probably by the time I'll have it harvested.

Heres Pics YAAAYY

Yes four of them are bagseed. But the bagseed is a autoflowering strain so its some good seeds not your ole mids seeds either.

Sweet! so my Ak47,Sourcream, and TrainWreck all decided to pop this morning when I got up. I just got done planting them shortly after waking up. Hopefully I will see sprouts tomorrow afternoon!

Also yesterday I gave my biggest plant some Nutes of a NPK ratio of 10-15-10 I only gave her a half dose I'll be increasing the dose little by little untill it reaches full strenth dose. Seems like she liking her nutes so far so Yaay. :peace:

O yea man 3 more dank strains growing now haha. Today I also bought more Scotts Premium soil at homedepot and 5 more 5 gallon buckets for my new plants growing. That was a 48.70$ out of my pocket. Hopefully it will be worth it. As of now its worth every penny. Its so cool watching these things grow.

O hm well it looks like its flowering already. It will be 3 weeks as of tomorrow. I do believe its a female now. To me deffeintly pistils have developed. I will take close ups tomorrow and post them, and have you guys decide if its a fem or male

awesone grow man subbed for sure! I'm right behind you with my outdoor plants as well and I am also doing 2 AK47xlowryder for an autoflower, and then 2 critical sensi stars and 2 WW for indicas so this thread will definitely help me as a parallel to my grow. Gonna buy some more foxfarm myself on monday and hike those babies to the spot for transplanting from 1 gal containers into the ground. Should be interesting!

Haha sweet man so you got the same ak47 auto as me? I have not seen many people grow this auto. Pretty much everyone is growing the with the ak47 X Lowryder#2. So I decided to grow the same as you to. As with the WW thats cool man especially if there indicas. I should have bought a strain thats indica so it would be faster to flower.
And let me tell you. Hiking 2Cu ft. bag soil is NOT easy at all. I'm not much of a strong guy but dam I had 2 bags of that and I couldn't lift both of them in one hike, so I had to make 2 trips. Which was very tiring especially in the Florida sun.

How are you transplanting them? Are you digging a hole and filling that up with your soil choice, or going Native soil? As for me I think I might stay with buckets. Just incase I will need to move them somewhere else but hopefully I wont.

Well I'm going to check and see if my new planted seeds sprouted in a lil bit. I will post pics on my biggest plant to.:blsmoke:

Small Update: peeps any tips or things that you think I'm doing wrong Please tell :)

Well Sourcream is the first one to sprout in the cup.
I looked at it this morning and sour cream came out of the soil. Just not my other 2 (ak,TrainWreck) hopefully when I come back later afternoon one more will come out of the soil and hopefully all will come out tomorrow or the next if not there most likely duds. I've had 100% that I put in the soil that all of them took no less then 2 days to sprout. Even a bad germinated seed with its taproot all curled up it still grew haha. So yup I'm pretty sure I'm getting a hang on the seedling part. Now comes Flowering!

**Add more pics this later on.**

Peace

Ok all of my seeds I planted yesterday (auto ak47, Sourcream, TrainWreck) have sprouted I just checked on them . So I officially have 6 plants growing. 3 of those being some killer strains and the bagseeds I do believe to be auto's since it is flowering already.

So tomorrow I will post pics of all the plants together like a lil family haha.

I do believe everything is going well I also gave the big girl some more nutes today in her water hopefully she will be a little bit bigger by tomorrow to snap some good pics. :)
