They are now. And more to come with that mega 65w Floro floodlight... here are the newest updated pictures of my setup. As you can see I have merged all of my elements into the box so that I can veg and flower in the same place. When the time comes, I'll probably get a separate cloning unit, but for now this is perfect for me. The box now contains the Hydrofarm floro tubes (now without the stand) the CFL and my HPS bulb. I have added the additional fan at the bottom and the box stays around 78-80F with low humidity.

The first picture is the current view of my 3 lights.

The second picture is a corner view of the unit showing 2 of the fans and the gauge.

The third picture is the newest picture of my plants. The remaining 4 out of 9... 2 of which are in bad shape. Hopefully moving them to this chamber and using the purified water will help revive them!

The last picture is the view of the entire box. There is currently a total of 3 lights, 5 fans (2 with adjustable speeds), 1 digital temperature gauge and 1 temperature gauge/humidity gauge which all run out the back of the unit. I will be using the screen to set the plants on until they become taller and then will start using the ScrOG method once they begin to mature.

Maybe I can get some feedback on this. Thanks for viewing.

P.S. - Anyone know when I'll be able to transplant out of these shitty Jiffy peat pots and into real soil/bigger pots? Can't wait to get rid of them. Thanks.

I have put 4 additional seeds in germination tonight, 2 maui waui and 2 dutch dragon. I will sprout these in plastic blue cups and then transfer them to larger pots when necessary. I am expecting faster growth this time because I will be using the purified water, more light, more ventilation and more knowledge!

im assuming youre at about 1 week of growth since they went in soil. With all the light you have they look to be a little slow going. Is the CFL reflector blocking some of the HPS light? Secondly, i used those jiffy pots on my first grow and wont use them again. Straight from papertowels to 18oz plastic party cups from now on for me. It looks like your jiffy pots might be really dry from their light brown color. Lastly, there isnt much need for the intense lights untill you get to flowering. Blue spectrum light is recommended for seedling and vegging.... (grows big healthy roots and keeps plant internodes short). Red spectrum light...ie HPS.... for flowering. A mixture or "full spectrum is what is really needed but leaning towards the different levels for different stages of growth is better

you could maybe try moving one light far left, the other far right, both aimed towards the center. Put your bowl in the middle and rotate it 90degrees daily

Good suggestions... my plants are approximately 1 week old, you are correct. It seems the Jiffy pots get bone dry only a couple hours after watering, but I do not want to overwater. Should I water more than once a day and how much water should I use per pot? I feel like I'm doing everything wrong with regards to watering. The CFL reflector may be blocking some HPS light, but like you said that spectrum is a little more important, so for now I guess I'll leave it like that. Any thoughts on the watering? Thanks.

when i used them it was under flourescent lights only. heat wasnt an issue so neither was having fans set up. Im guessing with the heat from the HPS and the air from all the fans, your jiffy pots are drying out too quickly. I would keep watering/misting them according to their need. I define needing watering when those pots are light brown and dry.

Yeah I might just shut the HPS off for now, it's generating a LOT of heat. I came home today to find my little sprout suffering some heat exhaustion >:O Not enough circulation in the box. It's between 85-90degrees when I'm not home.

good idea.... they need very little light during the germ/seedling stage, little more for veg, then tons for flowering. I wouldnt even use that HPS till flowering

i started my plants in the jiffy peat pellets (after germinating) i got 2 seeds to germinate and they're both still alive. check out my grow, im trying to post every day..im using 2 24watt vho 2 foot flourescent tubes, and 4 4 foot 40 watt flurescent tubes..i bought the 2 footers, fixture and bulb, for about 30 bucks each, very nice 2100 lumens each, plants seem to love it and i can keep the bulbs about 1-2 inches right above the plant without them getting any heat strain

Yeah I turned off the HPS yesterday and I've been giving them water twice a day now and I'm already starting to see noticeable growth, especially from the little one I thought was dead! It's starting to spring back. The other 2 are just starting their second set of true leaves. THANK GOD! Also, the 4 seeds I had germinating have all germinated so I'll be putting them in plastic cups tonight and tending to them tomorrow on my day off. BTW turning off the HPS reduced the overall temp by 10 degrees in the box. Kinda disconcerting knowing I'm going to have to rip the box apart again and reinstall another exhaust fan when it comes time to flower.. First one was a decent amount of work. Oh well though.

PS - - new plants are in Shultz potting mix with 1/3-1/4 ratio Vermiculite added in. Much easier to water these plants! Just placed them under the lights.

Well here are the newest pics.... the 2 best plants at day 8 after sprout along with some other pics.

First picture is of the new setup with the 65W Flourex flood light (6500K, 6825 lumens). Hoping for faster success rate with this setup.

Second picture is of my sprouts, getting noticeably taller.

Third picture is a closeup of the two sprouts I plan on being successful with.

Last picture shows the growing conditions of my box - perfect!

:joint::peace:

P.S. - - I've decided not to use ScrOG method this time around, maybe after a few more grows. Gonna stick to the basics first.

There are some confusing claims from LofA on the lumen output of these lights. They have closer to 4600 usable lumens not the posted 6000+. I still think this is going to be more than enough light to push a small grow well into vegging. A little more light might be needed as the plants start filling out near the end of their veg stage

Thanks. I think so as well. When do you think I'll be able to transplant into my 1 gallon pots? Should I wait until the roots start penetrating the Jiffy pots?

Also, the Photopic lumens for that light are 4,550 but as far as I can tell plants measure light within the brightness scale of lumens not the photopic?

Im certainly no electrician. Before i bought that light though i did a bit of research and kept coming across articles saying what i said before. One even went as far as making a blackout room and tested different lights with some sort of meter. I dont think it matters at this stage either way. Plenty of light. As far as transplanting. I put my germ seeds directly into 18oz party cups and transplant to their final containers after 4 weeks. I continue to let them veg and recover from the transplant stress for another 7-10 days before i switch to 12/12.

im trying to grow short plants also. if you wanted taller plants or simply had the room. I think its recommended to wait until the plant is more like 6 weeks (sexual maturity) before switching to 12/12
