So I checked for Canadian distributors and they list Toronto Hemp Co. Their price is 799.95 CDN which will bring it to about $1000 with shipping and tax. FWIW, their Facebook page indicates they give all veterans a 10% discount. I guess it comes down to whether or not the wife is willing to let me make oil it by any other method, or spend the $1000 for the safety factor.

Personally. I saw some shitty reviews of the product where people were having issues, yet their return policy is good enough that some people are on replacement number 4.....

perhaps you should put some effort into teaching the LPs that they should learn to grow marijuana correctly without spraying it with over 17 different pesticides, PLUS the illegal banned pesticides they have been caught wilfully using on what THEY will tell you is MEDICAL QUALITY MARIJUANA.
Even if someone posts a pic and says here is my weed from (insert favorite shwag factory here), look how crystally it is blah blah blah, there is no changing the fact that this so called medical quality cannabis has been repeatedly saturated with poison during its' entire lifespan.
The LP marijuana should come with a skull and crossbones on the package.

I don't read 90% of his dribble actually. It became apparent early that he was a little low on the smarts quotient. When I see his name I skip to the next one usually. It is pretty funny how he's TOO dumb to get it though. Is he the best they have?

this looks like something youd use 3 times,get mediocre results and put it on the shelf for the kids to find in 15 years.complete fad marketed at ppl who want one touch results.sorry,there just isnt such a thing when it comes to extracts. whats the end result youre all looking for? tasty dabs?big highs? if worried about blowing the house and fam up,for 1k you could buy or make your own rosin press and be completely safe.i agree with gb123,i wouldnt dab that.i dont buy that that rig with its vacuum would completely purge the alcohol off.no way.this thing pisses me off actually.jmo
The pump should run as long as you purge. Its a key point really. If you lock off the vac at a certain pressure the purge will stop.
That machine does not run a vac the entire process.....they say it starts and stops...
A good pump will run you 600 bucks alone.
The best value vacs are complete shit by comparison to a real pump and will overheat and die after 3 hour continuous use.
any left over grain alcohol wont kill you though..

i used a best valu pump.you cant run for more than 45min without the damn thing getting up to 145°f.thats what my main gripe is about this rig.that tiny motor wont pull hard enough to purge imo.why i also agree with you,you could make some decent edibles with it maybe and not be worried about inhaling ethanol.

First, I don't own one. It's too expensive for me at this stage of my addiction (to growing and crafting, not consuming). I also have nothing to do with the company or its products.
But the vacuum shouldn't have to run continuously since it also heats the vessel. A combination of heat and vacuum will purge the ethanol. In the vids the first run is loose only because they transfer it to either a smaller glass bowl or a silicon container for the final purge.
Wax is sticky as hell. If they don't get it out of the vessel before it's shatter stage they would never be able to get it out.
I've seen other vid's where it ends up like a sticky mess. It will dry it out, just don't do it in the ss vessel.

ok,so this was kind of my issue with the best valu pump,chamber and heat mat.if you pull a vac and then shut the vac off,then have an enclosed airtight chamber with heat going,where is the "purged" solvent going?

I also wonder how good the vac pump could be. It seems it would have to be small to fit the housing. So how good could it be? It does seem to be on the light end user side. My guess is it a little plastic unit somewhat like a washer pump in a car. So then you think how long could that puny thing last? Would it make it 3 months, 6 months or a year even? I didn't look at the warranty. Daily use....um...seems unlikely. But the only way to know for sure is too drop 900 bucks and try it. I'd be reading more reviews if i planned on getting one.

I have had decent results with a rice cooker...you just can't be in a hurry....
I have found wash time and temp to be the most important step..
other attempts done as qwiso and completely air purged on shallow glass microwave turntables with zero heat resulted in
white to light honey colored powdery hash/almost crystaline but shatter like. which had to be removed with a razor blade...
Also rice cooker was great for a volume make....for say a 1 pound run...

actually..when purging ISO it cools the vessel and minimum heat is needed.(100F) I use
This is purged with a vac and is on its side in the picture.. Theres 40 grams there..
it condenses and you suck it out off the sides.. it never leaves the chamber
