Good afternoon. It's a nice warm day here in Larry Land. I spent the morning in the garden hoeing cucumbers and peas. At 1510 it's sunny, 86F with 33% humidity. Forecast high of 84F{?} with no chance of rain today, and a low of 55F tonight. I have an early day of it here at work. Not sure what I will get into afterward. Tonight is my camp night, but I was on the trail all week last week, so might spend the night at home so the wife doesn't change the locks on me.

yeah, pretty much. May can be really nice, 40's at night but sometimes it hits 30F. i've learned to wait until the last week, usually pretty safe by then

Are you safe with Length of Day? I have a lot of new strains that I just don't know where their trigger is. I'm putting out a few BST's a week, just to see if they are in the clear. But I'm waiting a little longer on most of it.

mostly, usually last frost around here is mid Oct so I do have to watch what I get.

Another warm dry day in Larry Land. At 1845 it's sunny, 81F with 33% humidity. Our high today was 84F and the forecast low for tonigt is 57F with no chance of rain.

Sunny and hot here in Larry Land. At 1750 it's still sunny, but it's cooled down to 87F from our high of 92F earlier this afternoon. Forecast low of 61F with 20% chance of rain tonight.
Luckily I had office relief after lunch. I did get 10 tomato plants into 5 gallon buckets this morning. 6 Pruden's Purple, 3 Brandywine and 1 Yellow Pear. Also got Mini Sweet and Jalapeno Early sprouts out of cups into pots.

I hate not being able to grow a decent garden in Summer down here. I've still got lots of tomatoes and peppers...maybe for another month, then no more garden until September.

It's not the heat. It's the wet. The rainy season (if we still have one) kicks in next month. The plants will live. Some of them are several years old, in fact. They will just kind of go dormant until the weather dries out. South Florida

I only get one crop of green beans, cucumbers, melons and sweet corn, but I grow peas and such all summer. Last year I quit in August. Just too damn hot to be in the garden.

I lived in Deerfield Beach for about 9 months in 2004. It was an interesting experience and a real eye opener. And 4 hurricanes that summer, 3 of which hit my area, costing me my job.
The wealth disparities were absolutely unbelievable. Northern Colorado is nothing at all like it, nevermind other places I've lived around the country.
I do remember the summer toad stranglers lol I also remember seeing waterspouts from less than a mile away and looking around at everyone simply not paying them any mind. Weird...
Anyway, keep the updates coming!

I'm a little further south than DB. I live in a very rural area with mostly low income home owners. We don't have much, but we do have pride in our property and everyone for the most part looks after each other. We're mostly old hippies who smoke pot, eat shrooms, and mind our own business., I moved down here in 2003, right ahead of Hurricane Charley. We got some minor damage, but the worst hit was the recession which cost us our big house in town on the water. We had bought this place to store hubby's construction equipment since it wasn't allowed in the ritzy neighborhood. It was actually the best thing that ever happened. I'm much happier here in hippy heaven.
