Med do you personally know him?
How in the hell would you know how he is as a person?
He's a con man and a huckster.
I's such a good con man that he even fooled the Nobel society.
all the bullshit he spews doesn't even stand up to physics. And to think that sheeple just eat it up.
The biggest sheeple of all is Ed Bagly Jr., this nut ball even scares off the Hollywood types that believe the global warming bullshit

I've watched Al Gore for years. I don't know him personally, but his public persona is genuine and above board. I don't for a minute think he fooled the Nobel peace prize board. I certainly don't think he is a huckster, and I am not a sheeple. I believe A gore is a decent human being, a hard job to be one as a politician. All your defaming in the world will not convince me otherwise. I can't for the life of me see what your side is about. Taxes on energy, why that is nothing new, I'm taxed on all my utilities, my fuel, even the water bill has taxes. You fellows are so paranoid. What if Al Gore is right????

Hes not right! I am good at math, science, physics and was top of my classes on all these subjects. I know bullshit when I see it.

I'm not saying global warming is not real, but I'm saying that Al Gore lied through his teeth on many subjects. Yes co2 is a greenhouse gas, but its not 1/10th the strength of water vapor. Water vapor makes up the majority of earths greenhouse gases, so if we really wanted to stop the alleged
"global warming" the best thing to do would be to put a huge tarp over the ocean to prevent the water from evaporating.

Al Gore said co2 changes temps, but its actually the opposite and the reality is that temps change co2 levels. I have explained it enough in this thread https://www.rollitup.org/politics/57385-lmfao-weather-channel-founder-sue.html

He lied to you MM, just like the gov't lied to us about 911! You have to wake up dude!

There are some interesting posts in here, and at least one that's unnecessarily hostile. The point here, and the point for me is that a man who spends so much time telling the rest of us how we should live does not walk the walk. Google Al Gore daughter wedding, see if you can find the menu, because it's much more than just how energy inefficient his home is for me.

The Nobel prize.. I truly don't understand how it is he received it, but then again, so did Jimmy C. There were others who were up that year who deserved it so much more than Al, it's truly disgusting to me. I don't know how the laureates are chosen, but at this point it's more like the Academy Awards than a true measure of an individual's contribution. When they gave it to Gore they made it worthless in my eyes.

"loudmouths." ~LOL!~

Decent human beings don't lecture endlessly on an issue they are getting rich on, yet cannot follow said doctrine in his own life. Owl Gore is a phoney. He lost an election that was in his pocket because enough Americans saw right through him. And they see through this scam, too.

I never won a Nobel Prize, or an Academy Award for that matter. What's your point? He's immune from criticism because he snowed a Nobel Committee with a heavy anti-American bias? BOLLOCKS! He got an award for talking about climate change - BIG FUCKING DEAL! As VP he didn't do a fucking thing about man-made global warming in deference to the Sociopath in Chief.

Based on that criteria I deserve a Nobel Prize because I can bullshit with the best of them.

"nuff said." ~LOL~! That will be the day!

Med,

So in your opinion Al Gore is above scrutiny? Why should he be held to a different standard than anyone else? Because you believe he's the "Real Thing"? As for me I don't have an opinion on Al Gore one way or the other but I do recognize hypocrisy when I see it; why can't you? What would you have done if a Republican had pushed the need for energy conservation and you found out that he/she had actually increased their consumption? Methinks that you might express, at the very least, displeasure over their hypocrisy, no?

Years ago I remember Barbara Streisand had a website. On her website she had a page touting the need for environmentally sane practices. I saw with my own eyes where she had a "call to arms" for the people to kill their dryers as they consumed tremendous amounts of energy. She asked people to start drying their clothes by hanging them on clotheslines (which my mother did when I was young). Somebody managed to get hold of her monthly dry cleaning bill that amounted to hundreds of dollars/month. Needless to say, she took that part of her website down quietly.
If one is to talk the talk...they better walk the walk. Gore is no different than anyone else IMO.

Johnny, just to clarify, I'm the one who brought up the Academy Awards. And for the record, when you attack ideas it is not the same thing as attacking the individual. Some may not see it that way, but I do and I know Dave does (we just discussed it on the back deck).

I don't think that Bush cares shit about ANYTHING but his own comfort and elitism ...
But did you check out Matanuska's link on the difference between Bush and Gore's respective homes? Rather interesting to say the least, wouldn't you say?

Al Gore is rich? NO!....

umm...Well I'm sure he's donating a vast amount of his wealth to helping the poor.
In a 34-page 1997 federal tax return, Vice President Al Gore and wife Tipper reported giving $353 to charity, an amount much lower than donations the family has made in previous tax cycles.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel.
Can't buy it? Tough! Eat your oil!
Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled filet of camel ass!!!
I found your profile on another page and looked at recent post you made since it seems you were pretty well educated on the herbs. Didn't expect to find this on there... but have to say it's killer! Will get +rep for sure for that one.

Yeah, that shit is crazy considering Bush is portrayed as an environmental devil or something being that Gore won the peace prize for his global warming work.

Bush may have lost points with environmentalists on EPA or whatever but it appears to me and anyone who has read about his home that he does HIS share to give back to the environment. I almost want to say I respect him for that but its hard to seperate his cons with pros noone really cares about such as being a model "green" citizen.

And you can say he could do more being that he is president for the environment but he doesnt seem to want to waste money on debatable climate patterns when his obvious spending is in the war. Somewhat respectable, but you cant erase the imperialistic stance he took but he's a decent environmentalist at home.

well, you certainly seem to be drinking your kool-aid. it must be nice to have something to believe in. it must be nice to be able to believe that those folks on the prize committee have no agenda and that good old al, out of all the politicians, should be considered above reproach. it is rather odd that anyone should put their faith in an organization which had the audacity to award a peace prize to an admitted terrorist and to so unreservedly trust a man who climbed high enough in the corrupt circles of politics to attain the second highest position in the land (just a heartbeat away from the oval office).

i'm sure al is one hell of a nice guy, but isn't it rather pitiful that any movement would attempt to create a cult of personality around someone with no personality at all?
