this is just pictures from a web pages from a shop in my contrie .. it is a fench to stop em from crawling up .. cost like 8$ in my shop ..
but Im sure its easy to copy and put on your plant pot ..

did also get some suggestions on how to kill em .. like the salt .. but also hedgehogs and ducks like to eat em so get some of them in your garden ;)
can also make a trap .. they seems to love beer ! :) one suggestion was to dig a hole and put a open half full beer bottel in and only let it stick up like a inch .. they will smell it and get attractet to it and fall down and drow :)

lots of possibilities ..

about nutriens .. dunno Im a nub .. fist grow .. but it wouldnt be my fist priority for sure ..

hope this help ?

damn bro, shit must be tight around the c3llblock cellblock! if you aint got no salt, anything made of copper will stop em too, like a ring of pennies (copper piping or flashing is better) but if you aint got a few pennies, well. shit i dunno.

dont use any fertilizer at all. the fresh soil you got her in will handle that for you for a couple months.

3 eggshells wont do much, but it can help. Remember to save your eggshells from now on, if you wanna grow any plant, eggshells add calcium, and buffer acidic soils and water when properly dried and crumbled up

plants feed off so many things, your best bet for cheap reliable fertilizer is to start a worm farm, and let the worms turn grass clippings, vegetable scrap0s and fallen leaves into fertilizer for you. get a few chickens (keep them away from your worm farm) to get free eggs, and chicken shit. (5 hens will cost you like $30 or so a year in Layena hen feed, figurative chicken feed for literal chicken feed) and they will fuck up your slugs. keep your henss well fed, and they will spend their time eating insects, slugs worms and weed sprouts (like dandelions and shit, not cannabis plants!)

if your yard is big enough you could grow a decent garden in raised beds, make a worm farm, keep a few chickens, and set up a compost heap for plant material. all you need is maybe 30 feet by 30 feet to do this,

a really good home-made fertilizer to add to your soil is a mix of 1 cup worm castings (the shit from your worm farm) 1 cup chicken shit, and 1/4 cup crumbled up dried eggshells mixed into a 5 gallon bucket of plain ordinary dirt from the Open Space near your house. stir this in with an equal amount of compost and you can grow anything you want in there.

how bout a couple pics of your trained trees dr.
no camera, lost my last camera like 4 years ago, and havent even missed it till now.

mainly the trees i espalliered were other peoples trees on other peoples farms. never did funky shapes, just trellis and fence training. Grapes of course, lotta that action, but again, no real visual impact. My cherry is quite strange looking if you know what cherry trees normally look like

cherry trees naturally send growth pretty much straight up, till the wieght of several years growth bends the limbs back downward. they eventually wind up being rather flat topped and spready if not pruned. ornamental cherries are pruned extensively to get an ordinary tree shape

by cinching and banding the drip line alternating tying the limbs up one time and down the next each time the growth extends over the sidewalk it has achieved an almost cylindrical crown, and fruit grows at a height around 3-9 feet for easy pickin. its shaped just like a mostly folded up compact umbrella. each limb makes a sort of N shape as it grows.. Not even planned really, i just started cinching the limbs in to keep it off the walk. as the years pass i reckon it will get bigger and bigger around, till it looks like a round shrub instead of a tree.

if i can get a picture ill post it.

aww man i forgot about beer! i used to use beer all the time! havent had a slug or snail problem since i got my chickens though.

right on bro!

it totally works, but pickin the slugs out of the beer in the morning is gross. Plus it makes the beer taste a little slimey. ;-)

DONT USE PISS! piss is loaded with salt and other shit your plants dont crave. extracting the urea (the NPK part of piss) from the salts is an expensive and smelly process for the home user. just pissing on your plant will kill it!

perhaps if they are allowed to marinate for a few days, then coated in bread crumbs and deep fried....

served with a fresh garlic hollandaise sauce (the mayonnaise will really make the slime flavor POP!) on a bed of arugula and garnished with a sprig of fresh parsley and a lemon wedge... i can see myself serving this at a fancy joint. maybe call it Escargot Americano? finally something we can send to france that will make up for their snobbery!

what will the french think of next, deep fried dog shit?
ive never ate escargot either, never been to eager to eat a slug honestly.

raw piss has way more sodium chloride than plants can use in a small pot. ammonium chloride fertilizers fertilizers remove the sodium chloride. piss also contains relatively low concentrations of phosphorus and potassium (most people are short on these nutrients, so their piss has even less) just a few golden showers, and your soil will be dangerously overloaded with sodium chloride, smell like a drunk's underpants, and generally make you and the plant both miserable.

this is why "honeybucket" systems suck so badly and nobody uses them in the civilized world, plus there's typhus, amoebic dysentery, cholera, and about a thousand other unpleasant diseases that thrive in concentrated human waste.

c3llblock is a noob, so i dont wanna confuse the issue with scientific details. when i say salt i mean table salt, sodium chloride (which the american diet contains way too much of, so american piss is usually salty as fuck), when i say nitrogen i mean the ammonium nitrites that plants crave. just keeps is easier for the noobs but yes, you are technically correct, and thats the best kind of correct!
