How do I set up my new ballast?

hi all I just bought a magnetic ballast which apparently supports mh globes



but I was wondering how do I set it up? I know I need the globes and the hood but how do I connect them to the ballast?? I see a lot of folks actually wiring them up but mine just looks to have a simple power plug connection. When I buy the reflector hood or cooltube (undecided which way to go atm) will it come with the light socket and connection cable to ballast or is that another separate part I need to get as well?

With the mh globe, it's a magnetic ballast they're not usually meant to run mh as far as I'm aware? Can I use any MH globe or do I need a "special" mh globe designed for magnetic ballast? Very confusing I've done a fair bit of research but there's so many things to figure out!

Rather than waiting on replies on here, why not just call/email the manufacture and get the correct info right from them? This way you ensure that you get the correct info.
As far as people wiring their ballasts up, it's not very common at all. It is usually "Plug-and-Play".
Plug from hood fixture plug into the ballast--->Wire from the ballast plugs into the wall.

P.S. Why the gloves? Your hands are going to get dirty, your going to garden.

Well first off you need to be wired for 240v with that ballast. Second only certain hoods will connect to certain ballast. Some might need an extra connector.. Make sure yor ballast and hood are compatible. Its just plug and play from there.That ballast supports mh and hps. It should have a switch to select which bulb your using. Mh flip the switch to mh and Same with hps
