I have a 4x4 flower tent that I plan to scrog in. If I'm going with a51 led, what model panel and how many would you guys suggest?
Hey guys gonna have a 3x4x7ft tall was thinking a51sgs 160 or the 190 any suggestions? Im just going to be flowering 2 plants at a time :)
You should hold out and some time, they recently announced a release of a smaller unit, and an upgrade to the SGS160's, you could get away with 3 in a 4x4 and have good coverage for 470w...

if that diagram comes out right im gonna be so stoked....

but four would be stellar just over 620w, either way, $15-2000 if you need mulitple 4x4's covered I would consider getting in touch with Apache.

EDIT: lol welp, it didnt. but hopefully you get the idea.

I see tons of info on flowering with LEDs but little emphasis on veg regarding the best spectrums. I plan on making little modules on 3.5"x8" heatsinks with two cobs, a vero 18 at 5000k and a Chinese at 6400k(came with drivers for a little more $$ and they seem pretty brite). I already have all the materials to build two of these.
I am thinking of supplementing these with 3w LEDs. What wavelength would be best to support quick, strong vegatative growth?
Keep in mind, these are specifically for veg.
Thank you!

Yep, I wish I could run 2-3 mothers and do tables of clones, id be a flag wavin led guy at that point and would use my hids for shop lights
I'm going to build some low power LED cobs for shop lights. I can replace my old T12's and get a lot more light.

I for one can thank Bad Karma for helping me out with LEDS. I ended up going with Hans 80 watt panels. He even referred me to another Hans user because he said the other member had more experience with them. ASK POLITELY, TREAT EACH OTHER BETTER. This is embarrassing! This thread helped me. Now it is just trash talk back and forth. COME ON GUYS,I AM A NEWBY AND EVEN I CAN TAKE ADVICE AND TURN IT TO BUD! Read, learn, then use it to the benefit of yourself and others. My son told me that, he is in 4th grade

I'm glad to hear that the Hans panel worked out for you, sir.
You, and your son, are a couple of smarties and I'm glad they're folks like you two in the world.
You offer up some wise words for the forum, but sadly, those who are causing the problems will ignore them.
They're making trouble on purpose, trying to make our LED sanctuary less attractive to those searching for advise.
That way, other forums (that are censored to never speak ill of the sponsors), will seem more harmonious and attractive.
A member named Hgrow was recently outed as a Chinese factory rep posing as an ordinary member (his deteriorating grasp of English was his undoing).
He started off nice enough, but then started putting down peoples lights, and began pushing cheap alternatives.
We have no problem with company reps joining the forums, but instead of admitting who they are, they always try to start off by bullshitting that they're ordinary members.
It leaves a real bad taste in peoples mouth, which leads to little trust, and poor sales.
Anyways, hopefully this flurry of trolls will pass soon enough, and we can get back to our regular growing and showing :D

Hello,

I'm new here, as you can see, it's my first post
I'm gathering gear in order to start a grow, also my first time. I have a cab of about 60x40x90 (centimeters) and I'm looking for a LED panel. I've been reading around and I've found some supposedly good LED panels like the Lighthouse Hydro Blackstar series but most of the, supposedly, best ones are made in the USA and I'm from Europe and shipping costs are a bitch. Can anyone suggest some LED panels that are being made in Europe at about €100-150 suitable for my cab size?

Edit: I was leaning towards a White Widow from Greenhouse Seeds since I've read that it's an easy strain for beginners and also has a good yield. Should I get it from another seedbank?
Also, is my cab large enough to fit 2 plants?

Thanks,
T.

For that price NO............cheapest high quality led-panel in europe are these http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html one 80w version should fit your cab nicely

edit... yeah white widow is a great strain, GH's version is decent. make sure you have odor control for it.

You said that the GH version is decent. What other seedbanks should I look up? From what I've read all of them have good and bad reviews so I said better to stick to the original (I know of the whole Mr Nice Black Widow story and I don't really care which one of them was really the first one I just care about the seeds being feminised and since Mr. Nice doesn't have fem seeds I stuck with the GH ones).

Also, the 80w panel is 220€ including shipping. At that price I could get an 100w Blackstar http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lighthouse-Hydro-BlackStar-LED-Grow-Light-Plant-Lamp-Hydroponic-3W-Panel-Plant-/281155716563?pt=US_Hydroponics&var=&hash=item41762fc5d3 . What would be the better choice?

Thanks,
T.

The 80w hans panel can out yield even a blackstar 240w(135w actual draw) due to the quality osram/cree diodes. Check out multipass's grow to see the 80w(?) in action, couple other guys are using them in here as well.

I got 76 dry grams off one v.1 65w with a severely deficient bitch/ and 55 grams dried off of two crappy autos on my first run with it 2yrs ago==== still runs like a champ, which most chinese panels wont unfortunately.

Yeah GH white widow is fine, you know the drama:P
