cxm22 is more efficient that cxb3590 and is half the price
you can cover a 3x3 with as little as 4 cobs or as many as 9 depending on how hard you want to run them

Yeah this is great i have been buying from Cutter Electronics and paying $95+ P&P per light kit, wish i had found your post earlier, but if i change to my bigger tent i will place a order with you for sure your prices are half of what I'm paying now!

Just throwing this out there, would running 9 COB's at 700watts with active fan cooling run cooler than 700watts of HPS?

see there are 3 options here passive fin, passive pin and active cooled, so i would imagine there would be some varying degree of heat output one would imagine?

Same heat output. 700w is 700w. COBs will displace that heat output better, mainly because of how spread out they're.

I would like to ask if I can mix different model( 80 and 90 cri) of 1212 3500k on the same diver in parallel. Thank you

yes as long as they are both gen 5 or gen 6. electrically 80 and 90 cri chips are the same, the phosphor layer is the only difference. same for different colortemps as well (3000k, 3500k, etc)

gen 5 part number on the chip starts with an H (like H121230M2)
gen 6 start with a T

Based on 80cri vs 90cri 1812 grow,I would like to take advantage from 90cri better spectrum and 80cri more par a output. So mixing 6 x 90cri and 6 x 80cri like this:

The way I have understood it (and i could be wrong) is that heat output from whatever the draw is entirely dependent on efficiency.

If for example your driving 500w into a light that is 25% efficient then you will need to account for 375w of heat. Conversely a 500w light with 50% efficiency would require 250w of cooling power.

So actual heat your dealing with depends on the cob/how hard you push it, but if the above is correct then just about any cob should run cooler than a similar wattage HPS by a long shot.

on the backside of the chip, but all that light is getting absorbed in the tent/room and also turning into heat so total heat load is the same
