Fully dimmed is at 87W, and at 100% is at 280W. How is that possible? It supposed to be from 110 to 220W.
im pretty sure the A units dim from about 40% to 100% so it sounds like just what i would expect.

240 at full blast can hit 260W, and then youre also measuring on the AC side and must include the 91-93% efficiency which eats up another 20W or so

Also V is constant at 230V, amperage is from 0,41 to 1,25A. Driver supposed to be only 1,05A??
amperage where? on AC side? again meanwells will always run a little over spec. there is a section of the national electric code that says that drivers used in luminaires need to be "rated" for xx percent of their max output, i think its around 85-90% IIRC

Hey! I'm trying to figure out a driver for these strip leds: Bridgelux BXEB-L1120Z-35E4000-C-A3. I'm looking to run 4 to maybe 10 strips. Can you help?

here's the specs:

Flux @ Current/Temperature - Test 4820 lm (Typ)
Current - Test 700mA
Temperature - Test 50°C
Voltage - Forward (Vf) (Typ) 44.2V
Lumens/Watt @ Current - Test 156 lm/W
Current - Max 1.4A
how hard are you planning on running each strip (max)?

Yes and no... Just because the driver is pulling that much from the wall does not mean you are getting more juice to your COBS. The only way to check what you are outputting to each cob is to test at the chip.

The reason you are pulling 168w is you probably have 120v AC delivery. The datasheet on the drivers shows 115v input for 120w @ 1.4a. Drive 120v @ 1.4a and you get 168w. If your cobs are rated for 48v, the max current theoretically is 2.5a which is 120w. The only way to deliver (if the current rating is a true MAX) more power would to use a higher voltage COB (say 50v COB on a 48V driver) which is why people use a driver that does not "look" like it will deliver enough but in the end it will.

I have not actually checked the voltage/amp at the cobs so maybe I will tonight. I highly doubt you will see close to 168w though no matter what you are running @ the chips.
I understand that drivers are not 100% efficient. But I don't think he was asking about efficiency I'm pretty sure he was asking about meanwell drivers going over stated wattage. I'm on a phone so I don't type long winded posts .

you can get a better idea of actual performance by looking at the "test report" than the "datasheet". Their target is to meet or exceed the performance listed in the datasheet with every unit, which they do

Again, check the COB for actual power output. A wall measurement means nothing. A driver can push more than stated but it doesnt necessarily mean that the chip is driving more.

Germinated my seed, planted, and now this one isn't coming up. It's been 4 days :(

What am I doing wrong?

Happy frog soil, water 2x a day to keep soil most, 80F, 60-70% humidity. I only water when soil looks bone dry so I don't over water.

I place the seed taproot down just a hair below the surface of the soil.

Can't even use my light setup until this thing sprouts!

im not a fan of germinating out of the medium itself, it stresses them imo.

it prob dried out., i germ in cups at 100% humidity until it breaks soil

If your seedling soil is getting bone dry at least two times a day to make you water it that often something if off. That seed needed constant moist warm soil not a rapidly fluctuating environment. Also, plant that shit deeper next time, I usually go to the first knuckle on my pinky.

Transplanted the seedling to a small cup, put a wet paper towel under it, and used an upside down glass with a foam plate to seal it all up.

Hopefully this humidity dome will bring her back to life. If not I know what I did wrong now :)

Update, after 1 day of the humidity dome, she sprouted! Light is on, I'll keep her in the dome for the rest of the week, then transplant.

once the first leaves open up you dont want high humidity, it should have a deep taproot by that point. high humidity makes the delicate stems rot
