Wish there where some with wire pre-soldered on. I can't solder anymore, I shake like a pain mixer...
You might be able to use a push connection. Wago connectors you just push the wire into a hole, and latch something too crimp it. Make sure you get a potentiometer with pre soldered wires compatible with it

New light not working.... I wired up all the leds in a series: Starting from driver wired brown output to the first led +, then wire from first led - to second led +, then second led - to third led +, then third led - to forth led +, then forth led - back to the driver output blue wire.

On the input AC i wired green to green, white to blue and black to brown.

Driver HLG 185H 48A
4 CXM 22

What am i doing wrong :/ ?

Using wago connectors and checked to make sure it was getting contact on the wires.

you need a driver capable of ~200V to run 4 cobs in series

that driver can run any number of CXM22 but they need to be wired in parallel so the overall voltage required by the cob array is a match for the ~50V the driver provides
Thanks, upon wiring in parallel it did work.

Anyone know where I can find a decent price on ans Apogee MQ501 PAR meter? Seems pretty hard to find other than Direct from apogee

looking to make a led grow light for my 2x3x6 tent. not sure what cobs to get. would like to run the lights in the most efficient way possible and hopefully with the least amount of heat dissipation as possible.

about $350 you just need to build a simple aluminum frame that we can talk you thru

Hi mate im thinking of going with 8 x citizen 1212s to cover my 100cm x 100cm tray. Im just wondering what sort of frame to build for it. Any help appreciated thanks

They are nice mate the first one i like the most think ill go for that one. Heres my parts list for when im ordering except for the wires, reflectors and cob holders. Do you think i have everything?

8x 133mm pin fin clu048 heatsink (for 50-65w cob) 8x CITIZEN CLU048 1212, 3000K/3500k 34.6V 80Ra COB led chip 2x meanwell hlg 185-c1050 drivers

If you check out threads here where they measure the light that their fixtures produce (in a grid pattern), you will see that they always have a hot spot in the center.

The most uniform design I've seen (with cobs) is an 8 cob fixture, where the cobs are arranged in a 3x3 grid with no center cob in the fixture. The overlapping light from the 8 cobs light the center just fine and the light level is extremely even across the whole canopy.

you need chip holders (bjb or ideal) as well as thermal interface material (either 8 pads or a 4g tube of arctic silver)
