Howdy cobkits, just wondering when the cxm22 3000k, 90cri will be available for purchase? Any idea on the price? Many thanks for the service you are providing to the community.

Hey guys, so I've pretty much got down that I think I want Cree CXB3590's. For a FLOWER ONLY chamber, but the only thing I can't decide between is 3000k and 3500k.. I will have 4 50w COBs, Would 2 of each work better? Only thing about that is the coverage might be a little wonky on the sides... there would be a big overlap but the 2 opposite corners would favor one or the other... What is the consensus on best spectrum for flower? I keep seeing people say both for these particular COBs..

One thing I'd like to keep in mind is if either of these ranges reduce STRETCH at all, that would be amazing. My height is a bit limited, but I do scrog/lst so it's not the biggest thing in the world. Not sure if 3000k/3500k affects stretch at all.. but I've been reading all over the place and seems like some favor 3000k and others 3500k... any suggestions or help on this front? As of now I'm leaning toward full (4 COBs) at 3500k but I'm not 100% on it.

Actually I think I may go with the 3000k for a flower only chamber due to the more pronounced red peak (600-660 nM) as compared to 3500K, which will hopefully aid in flower density and size.

Just chiming in, I got 6- 3500k, for flowering, cuz of research here and elsewhere. Then I read more, and 3k is as good? Better, so i ordered 2 more at 3k. Now I read more and now its cri ratings! Can not keep current!

I know, I keep going back and forth between 3000k and 3500k.. really on the fence still but now I'm leaning toward 3000k... I hate to spend the money and then look back and kick myself for not getting the optimum one!

With the 35k, my girls only stretch about 6 -8 inches. Before they would go a foot easy.

Interesting.. do you think 4x 3500k lights would be better than a mix of 3000k and 3500k? Despite the not "full overlap" of spectrums? I definitely wanna keep stretch down, but I think spectrum is more important to me than stretch.. I'm pretty good at keeping my girls pretty short with scrog/LST

Then there's the whole debate on "is it stretch" vs "is it growing it as well" type of thing... ugh I can't decide!
Like how are your yields vs the 3000k only?

These are all under 2700k and im real happy with everything i have harvested under this and the 3000k cobs.not that my 3500k are bad.i just dont like how short the 3500k keeps my plants.a lil stretch is a good thing imo :)

I'm not gonna worry about stretch at this point.. I will just continue to scrog/lst and stick with 3000k I think. Still teetering but I am super indecisive.. Thanks for the tip Nenno44! Good idea.

Plus, these 4 COBs will be in addition to my panel anyway, which I imagine will make up some of the other wavelengths in general (and older Area 51 RW-75.. has white and red LEDs in it... did a buncha research 2 years ago and went with this after reading a lot of good things about it). I think the additional COBs will really shift things into a higher gear, though!

Hey, I'm building some new lights here and I'm really close to honing in on what I want. I plan to run CLU048-1212s at about 35 watts each. Getting heatsinks for $9 each from northern growlights.

The two lights are for another 4x8 space. Description is as follows:

32x CLU048-1212 3000K 90 CRI GEN 6 ($456)
32x 105 mm Pin Sinks ($290)
2x HLG-600H-36B ($390)
Holders and connectors ($90)

Total: $1,226
I'm looking to get a good even 900-1000 ppfd with these two fixtures in my 8x4. These are going to be a hair more efficient than my CXB3590s and my 1825s, also my first time messing with 90 CRI.
I hope I can test these guys vs. the Cree rigs. If I consistently come out on top with the exact same wattage of 1212's I'm gonna be hyped. If I don't, I won't care because this light is gonna be $350 cheaper than a light I could build using Cree stuff.

This all look good?

Also, any recommendations for high lm/w strips? I need about 450 watts on a 48x48 inch aluminum plate, going over 2 veg tables. Are there Gen 7 EB strips yet? Who knows, gotta do some research there.

I must say, fast shipping from cobkits. I just gotta figure out how to make a frame and start mounting stuff together

Going to get some Aluminum Right angle pieces at Home Depot. What size Drill and Screws do you use to tap and drill to hold it together?
