Keep em green?

How long does pollen typically survive left in the open?
I don't know the answer from experience but moisture will disable it quickly.

It is stored for later use dry and protected from moisture so if the room is dry I assume it may remain viable for a long time.

I did not find a definitive answer to your question either. That's all I got. ;-)

Why are we comparing deciduous trees to annual flowers? Also, why make the comparison and neglect to consider evergreens?

Edit: how the hell did that get in there...
Even deciduous trees have set there mast crop to completion before beginning to put on fall colors. I too am confused at his comparison.

So a very thorough clean up is required ^^. Or you buy a fire hose?.

I have not had more than a couple of weak pollen nanners ever show up. The more I grow the less stress so I have only seen 4 seeds this year in my personal. Even though some of the Thai/ diesel crosses have a late spurt. There may have been more when some was donated but I don't know.

So I am not the authority to ask I am just a researcher on this subject. One of the other guys should answer.

I've stored pollen for just under a year and it was viable. Any past that and I suck at storage so far.
It was pollen from a late fingered bud and the three flowers/buds I tapped it with produced fem seeds.
I packed it with a desiccant bag in a sealed vacuum bag in the same place my seeds are stored.

I was under the opinion that once pollen looses all its moisture its dead, id check this as my brain dont hold onto facts that long these days. I dont think moisture kills it but rather makes it hard to fly through the air and stick to femalle pistils. Wont survive long in a groe tent.

Please double check before believing as been a while... :-)

Oh and @Kingrow1 the Ch9 Greenbud is a hybrid of Ed Rosenthal Super Bud which seems to have some amazing phenos from the old sativas too.

Hope you weren't being sarcastic. I don't actually have any other experience with Sensei. Only the strains the breeder wanted over a decade ago.
Sensi have some awesome strains and some dirt cheap as well, im a long time fan of their superskunk and other early original skunks. They get a lot of bad press but their afghan amonst others are in many many other crosses so they cant be that bad. Uk wise Sensi and Dutch passion are firm favourites with awesome old school ranges.

I don't trust seed banks too much and dutch passion didn't ship here or I would have started as a noob with them instead of greenhouse seeds. Which did not have consistent quality for me especially with their mix color coded packs.

I hear good things about greenhouse and a few others but theres many strains to each company, trick is to find the ones you like the most. I dont follow the latest strains much though, most i grow are very tried and tested. Sensi and Dp keep some shitter strains on their books but they openly admit when they are, genetic variation is worth more than yeild sometimes.

I grow for the variety I get from the f-1 and s-1 feminized seeds I have collected but I have cloned and re vegged some real winners now. I have not run perpetual clones to really dial in yet.

But I will continue to germinate new seeds to experience new plants. Also the CH9 seeds have been almost 100% reliable for me to get 4-6 oz average of great complex pot with good pain relief for us regardless of pheno or cross.

Every bit I have read on it says the pollen needs to be dry and water makes it sterile.
