Hi there AKRevo47 I checked out your grow I grew AK-47 a few years back and it was incredible. Unfortunetly I wasn't able to clone yet so the genetics were lost to me.

GypsyBush welcome. I see you are a hydro grower. The world of hydro is so lost on me. I don't understand what everything means and it all looks so complicated. I'd need a hydro for dummies book and even then I'd be afraid I couldn't pull it off.

Well I'm off into the grow gonna take a clone today...

Thanks Mama...

It's funny you know...

That "sand box theory"..lol..

We are most comfortable with what we are familiar with..

Soil, to me is like magic... you gotta know shit, and you gotta pull the info from thin air...

Hydro, on the other hand is just like baking a cake...

We grow by numbers... there is no guess work or wizzardry involved...

It's like operating a machine...lol...

Yes, instructions are required, but the are easy...lol..

enough about hydro...

I wanna see more of your grow..!!!

You said cloning today?

What is your cloning process...?

Cheers from AK to HI

Happy Mother's Day
Ok I promise not to laugh at your ghetto cloning set up. But it has to work ok? Cloning is pretty easy, but there are a few key ingredients you must have.
Good luck And happy growing :weed:

Thank you all for the mothers day wishes. And welcome everyone. It's always good to talk to real growers and people who want to be growers who want to learn.

The one thing that turns me into a bitch though is people who have never grown in there life giving people crappy advice or really any advice on growing at all.If you have never grown the plant then you really don't know shit as far as I'm concerned. It's really not rocket science and I find it's a pretty easy plant to grow as long as you don't over mother them and there are many different ways to do grow. I say whatever works for you is the right way to do it and anyone who tells you different is an arrogant asshole.I grow some of the best bud most people will ever smoke but I know there are a lot of people who are doing the same thing. I believe everyone should be growing there own and have helped a lot of my real life friends become growers.

Cloning was once the bane of my life. I tried everything that worked for everyone else and nothing worked for me. My cuttings slowly rotted in the same style of bubble cloner my grow Guru had 100% results with.
Then one day I bought myself some peat pellets and life turned good for me.

All I use is a peat pellet, a cut down small juice container from individual kids haiwian punch drinks, some water, and a cut down 2 liter soda bottle. Picture 1.

First I soak the peat pellet for a couple hours in water till it's all puffy and hydrated.

Then I cut the clone from anywhere on the plant that looks like a good place to cut it from. I have equal success with bottom cuttings as I do with the very tops of the plants. I cut the end on an angle, dip it in rooting powder and stick it in the peat pellet. Picture 2.....I did not take pics of actually cutting the clone because I believe everyone knows this process if they ever even tried to clone.

Then I mist the clone and put the top on and put it on the clone/baby shelf. Pic 3.

Pretty darn ghetto but I don't care because it works and that's all I care about. Plus it was damn cheap especally since I bought a shit load of peat pellets from ... THE WAL-MART...dirt cheep in the summer when they went on clearance. But then my whole veg room is kinda ghetto. It's the 2nd bathroom/laundry room which is now the laundry/vegging room but that's for another post.

Now I'm going to go smoke a bowl with my daughter. She bought a new piece and were going to break it in.

Nice Mama...

My first success with cloning was with a wick cloner.. made from a pop bottle and a piece of shoelace from the shoes I was wearing right then lol...

Simple.. but it gave my first roots...lol....

Oh! and...

Happy Mothers Day!

Here is one of Gypsy's bud for you... wish you could actually smoke it.... sorry...

I am sorry if anyone took my post the wrong way. The question and my reply.
Hey I hope you didnt take offense to my post. It seems like by your response you were pretty upset. I wasnt trying to tell anyone how to grow their own weed. I was simply just trying to spread some encouragement. Your clone is looking great, happy growing!!! name removed
Oh my god no I wasn't saying anything about anyone posting on my thread and I'm sorry if you took it like that. I am going to post my reply to you on my thread (without your name of course) just in case anyone thinks I was talking to them. I am thrilled with the level of the people posting on my grow journal because non of you are that type of person( know it all my way is the only way).Your all informed people who really know what it's all about.I'm sorry if I come off as a bitch but believe me when I say that I wasn't implying anything about anyone here. I was just telling you who I am and how I'd like it run in my grow journal. I would love to have this as a place to throw ideas around and maybe someone in that group could try some of them and report honest acurite facts about it. I will never say my way of growing it is the right way of doing it because there is no right way.I am looking to honestly report what I am doing and what results I'm getting and hopefully you all will do the same thing. I am always ready to learn as long as what your teaching is something you have done. Grow it good ~ Grow it kind

BTW gypsy nice buds. How do you get along with power outages with your hydro grow? Where I live winter storms knock the power out quite a bit.

Thanks! That bud's for you!

As for power outages... I am not one to speak...

I live in the middle of nowhere Alaska, and we are off the grid...

We generate our own power at a ridiculously high cost..lol...

But it only goes out if we fuck up lol....

I would look into power supplies made for computers.. they would at least keep your pumps going for a while...

Sorry I am not more help...

Cheers!

MG isnt organic, but the do have a MG organic mix thats is as said... I have used MG Oorganic choice and had excellent result... you will need to add bout half a cup of lime to a 5 gal containers( to stablize ph and prevent a mag or calcium def.) alot of ppl dis on MG, but organic choice isnt bad if thats all you can get you just gotta with it. You should use a media you comfortable with, hydro I only recommend organic...

No MKB the pups have been good, got to healthy little beauties, I'll be updating my journal sooon.. and post those LST pics for wannabe, my girl just need to get me the aircard again..

I got some organic MG soil and some garden lime (they had both lawn and garden). Is this the right type of lime?

Thanks.
