Today is a great day!, I got my light today!!!! Yes! And that means the project now begins! Ok Ok... enough about how excited I am!, Everything came nice and packaged just the way they said it would be. Mind you guys I ordered over the phone with a gift card visa! Brown Plain Simple Box With UPS Tag, Exactly Right on time! Perfect! I took down all my CFL Set up and installed the 400 HPS. Everything Runs perfect! It Took about a min for the light too boot up and bam! Presto! Gunna get some dank buds now! I'll be posting pics T-M! of the new setup! I promise.

Radical! You will see some dense buds on your plants for sure. Just make sure the light doesn't heat stress the little ladies. My plants are looking great. I have 3 seedlings now, 1 blackberry, 1 white widow, and 1 orange bud. Now all I have to do is get them to get nice and bushy and mother them to make many many clones. :fingers are crossed:
HTG supply is the best. Really a great company. I ordered a air cooled reflector and a 6in inline fan cause i noticed the temps in the flower tent are too high for my liking. It shipped Monday so I should get it by the end of the week. I'm pretty excited myself.

Right?!, Heat is really one of my main concerns, I don't have anything to tell how hot it is in my rubber maids, but from living in Maui under the sun all day long, It seems to be a fair 75... maybe a little higher in there. IDK I'm not gonna let my instincts take over my first grow so im off to go buy a temp gauge or w.e you call em.
is it me or is it just you and I Talking on this? no one else seems to want to participate.... lame. Pics coming up in a few hours. back to :sleep: cause i just :bigjoint:

Ok here is one pic of my 400 HPS in my Rubbermaid, for some reason my cam isn't getting a good pic... Sooooo... tm I'll open my window up and take some day bright pics! I haven't installed the 3rd Rubbermaid yet because i got busy with work so tm afternoon i should put work into modifying my set up for a 3rd Rubbermaid, that way my plants can stretch and bud how they want! mind you guys the 3rd Rubbermaid will go at the very bottom and is also bigger so i can fit more plants for my sog setup. Trust me it's perfect!

Oh and nailz! I just got me a better job witch means it pays more witch means I'ma buy a huge grow tent within this coming month =]

I also just switched the lights from 17/7 to 18/6.

Excellent. It looks like your grow set up is coming on really really nicely. I am still waiting on my air cooled reflector and a couple of in line fans but they should be here by the end of the week. It's no rush cause my small plants aren't ready for full a 600w HPS. However I now have 3 seedlings, 1 Blackberry, 1 White Widow ,and 1 Orange Bud. The blackberry was showing some yellowing on the leaf tips and the rounded leaves were almost completely yellow. This is a sign that she is hungry and nutes are needed. So I changed out the rez, pH balanced some new water and started them on 1/4 str nutes. The tiny plants cant handle full str nutes yet.

Congrats on the new job! Also the reason why the picture isnt really good quality is because of the new HPS light that's on. It's cool that everything is going as planned but its a good idea you got a temp gauge. They are very useful. Can't wait to see updated pictures of your grow in the good light.

I'm medicated pretty much every day so I totally understand what you are getting at. My new Air Cooled Reflector Hood for my 600w HPS came in today along with a 6inch Inline fan for air movement over the bulb. This thing, if I set it up correctly will significantly reduce the temps in the flowering tent. This is what I hope for cause I don't my little ladies getting heat stressed. I also got a Co2 generator that will be of greater use now since I won't have to constantly be pushing new air in. I am pretty medicated myself right now. SO forgive me if I am rambling on about my grow.

I am hoping for a couple more sprouts but they have yet to push above the surface. I might get another orange bud sprout, but I don't have alot of faith in the other Blackberry seed sprouting. It's one of the realities of starting from seeds, sometimes you make mistakes, sometimes its just a dud seed, and sometimes its a combation of the above formentioned reasons. I can't decided which method of germation I like more or have more success with. I used to do just straight paper towel method and it worked for a while until this grow. I had 3 of the paper towel seeds not make it. That's 3 out of 5 seeds..... :( Anyways....Enough with my little pity party. I am however greatful to have 3 health seedlings. The blackberry is coming along very nicely and the white widow and orange bud are right behind her. If all three make it to full veg then ill have 3 mother plants. The orange bud is reg seed so I will have to do the paper bag method. It sucks but and adds like a couple of weeks onto the grow cycle. The upside is you will know if you have a male. I don't know of any other method to find out the sex of your plants. If you have any methods you use I would really like to hear them.

Dude, you gotta get some pics up of your grow area. It's probably looking really good by now. I have to go ghetto alot too but it gets the job done and its cheap plus the plants dont care how the garden looks as long as you take care of them. But anyways dude great job so far and good luck.

Ohh man I know the feeling, it's an all day thing for me too :blsmoke: Ah man i wish i had your set up! I think i'd be proud myself! Good Job! Post pics let me see once you've got everything set up! Your babies better make it! THAT WAY YOU CAN SEND ME A SAMPLE! I germinated 9 more blue cheese seeds from my bag seed and they all cracked yesterday so i planted them in soil today in beer cups and put a sandwich bag on each one of the cups, but poked holes in it to keep moister in and air flowing =]!:eyesmoke: Dood I know I need to take pics tm morn I forgot today because i got called in for work! I guess that's one flaw of work! haha all good! I've always used the paper towel and or the water in cup method always worked for me... I can't wait tell my og kush and black domina clone get big that way i can put them in my mother box and cut clones and start my SOG! =]

p.s. dont trip ramble on were all high !

AND P.S.S. TM I'm gonna take all day and modify my existing setup and make it more advance for my liking! trust me its gonna be the sickest Rubbermaid setup on RIU!

How's it going.

I just got back from being on holiday. How are your plants coming along? I will be getting back the camera soon so ill take some more pictures and upload them. I checked out the 3 other seeds that haven't pushed above the surface and it looks like they all got molded over and the mold killed them :( . I have never to this day had a problem with fungus or mold. I wondered as to why this all of a sudden became a serious grow issue with me. Then finally it dawned on me. I am such an idiot sometimes. When I chopped down my previous grow, the AK-48, I left all the plant material in a rubbermaid tub. It had been sitting there in my grow area for a long while. When I finally started cleaning up the grow area I discovered all the plant material had molded over and was nasty! It was the source of the mold contaminating the seeds that killed them off. It was all my fault because I was lazy. It cost me 5 total seeds. I am pissed. But you live and learn. I will never make that mistake again. SO now, im gonna wipe down the grow area with anti-bacterial wipes and change my places air filter out. Those poor seeds. I killed them :( .

Let that be a lesson to you and everyone else. CLEAN YOUR GROW AREA as much as you can when you can. It will save you alot of heartache in the process. This is so funny, two days after cleaning up the grow area, the plants that did sprout that were having some slow growth bounced back and said "Thank you." I also think what helped the plants bounce back so quick is the fact that my rez pH was like <8.0 . I had to test it twice just to make sure I was reading it right. So the leaves that were yellowing and had brown spots was due to pH nute lock out. I come back off holiday and the plants had grown significantly since I last saw them and the new growth is a nice deep green which means a healthy plant. I added 1/4 str nutes last wednesday but it may have been a little too much for the WW sprout because she was showing signs of nute burn. But the Orange bud which is younger loved it and grew. So overall it was a great week. Anyways sorry for rambling on in your grow thread about my grow. You need to update us with how your plants are doing.

Crazy week for me man, power went out for 2 days here in my area! My plants have gotten no light! and im in a differnt city atm i come home tonight! I got a call from my friend tht lives in the area and said the power will be out tell today! I don't get back tell tonight... i hope there not dead...

OK OK GOOD NEWS! I GOT HOME AND THEY BLOOMED LIKE CRAZY! New Sprouted leaves everywhere! The Things looking super healthy! Also I found my old digital camera so now i can take way better pics! and im on it like fly on shit!

Looks like we both left and then came back and our plants were doing great. I feel like a doting parent with my plants. It happens every grow. Never fails. LOL. Its good to hear that your plants are doing well too. I just found out that my digital camera I loaned out is missing the memory card. :( The person i lent it to said they would replace the memory card. SO no picture updates unless its with my crappy cell phone camera. Which sucks alot. Anyways great to hear your plants are doing good and looking forward to your grow area pics. It will be a while before i can get some decent pics of my plants up.

Lookin good man! Ya, I hear you on the busy with work and other stuff. This week on monday 6/21 I became ill with Strep Throat. Past 3 days I've been recovering. I haven't had time to check in on my grow either but I usually don't have to 2 to 3 days. The system is self sustaining at least for a few days. I'm getting better and going back to work tonight. Your plants look great, they are coming along really nicely. I should be getting my order in today or tomorrow. I ordered some nutes for flowering and a new light for the veg room plus a pretty awesome aeroponic cloner. Ill post some pics up as soon as I get everything situated. Keep up the awesome work dude.

Thanks man!, Yeah it's been day after day after day just working. Today is finally my day off and of course payday! So i will be off to the hydro store here local and get some Earth Juice Grow and Bloom. I figured it's simple and easy to use! and I should get some good results! Thus is what I've heard so far... But we will see what happens. No wrong in trying you know?... Anyways! I'm sorry to hear your sick man! I hope you get better, take some vap hits ease into your motion feel me? The plants have grown bigger by the day there alot bigger then the last pics i posted!

Sweet Dude, I wish I lived in an area where we had a local hydro store. It would make buying my supplies 100 times more easier. As it is now and probably will stay this way, I have to buy my supplies through the internet. It's all good though. HTGsupply is a great store and ill stick with them. After getting my supplies in went ahead and completely rearranged my mother/veg tent. New light fixture , new aeroponic cloner, and I now have two mother plants that are vegging. When they get to a foot and 1/2 tall ill start taking clones! I am really excited cause this is the first time having mother plants and taking clones. All my previous grows it was straight from seed to smoke. Thanks for the well wishes man, It took about 3 days to get over the strep throat. I was messed up...but im better now, the doc gave me some antibiotics and they seem to be doing the trick. Get some more pics up. It looks like both of our grows are about on the same timeline. I'll post up some new pics of my grow here in a few mins so you can check them out.

Man O man your new setup sounds like it kicks ass! =] Def get some pics going! I'm thinking of buying a grow tent here in this upcoming month. I really digg the rubber maids but theirs no reason for me to keep it stealth, Not that I'm doing stealth anyways, But that was what I could afford at the time. Now Of course is a different time! I want to get the same set-up you do with the tents one for veg/mother and the other for flower. Glad to hear your plants are doing so well. Ya i just finished posting some more pics on in my journal of the newly renovated veg tent. Looks alot better now. Healthy roots means a healthy plant. They will grow nice and have lots of bud sites. I am really impressed with how well the Blackberry is responding to the new set up. IT seems like she is growing an inch every night.
