new vero 29 gen 7 driver questions

probably for that reason

voltage drop, cable impedance, or emi interference are the only reasons that would make sense

well i was looking at that yesterday to determine voltage drop between 3 channels on remote drivers 12 feet away thru an 18/6 cable and im getting almost 2% voltage drop. which can be a deal killer when your cobs are near the top of your 48V driver... so in some cases yes it is important

say for example a citi 1818 which tops out a 48V 'A' driver at 53.5V or about 1700 mA.

2% drop on voltage and youre not getting over 1100 mA with that.
You guys speak a couple tiers higher than me so i hope i'm not busting in but...I've got a MW HLG-185H-36A pushing 4 Vero 29 gen 6 and I'm getting 210 watts in the first fixture and 250 watts w/ the second? same setup except for cabling...1st has 3m 12 awg, second 3m 18 from driver to LED.
After reading your thread I checked the 210 watt driver temp and I'm getting 129F! Barely keep your hand on it hot...and thats the one over-wired!
So then I guess ya'll gonna say cable up the 250 watter (at least 16awg?) right?
Thanks,

Ll&p

Changed wiring to 1 meter 16awg from driver to LED's...down to 230 watts!? Still high I think, you guys have any suggestions?

id say swap the 12 ga and 16 ga from driver to driver. if the one goes from 210 to 230 is and the the other goes from 230 to 210 you have a good study there

as @Millsie would say, "Science, bitches!"

are these wired in series or parallel,im guessing para based on the driver #.maybe some kind of runaway voltage on the hotter driver?

All you need now is a gyro and 5000cfm and you'll be ready for take off. I like it.

Hey Dawg. Here's a hlg240-1750b. You were right and I've moved on to 2100ma. There was nothing wrong with this 240, I guess I'm taking it apart for a couple reasons. Not happy with heat from 240 (320 seems much better). So I'm thinking about taking out driver and adding another cob. Moreover wouldn't be easier to just run 3 gen 7 on 240 @1750? I believe it should run 3 if those 40fv, whatcha think?

Brother Were Always Tinkering With Our Lights And Yes Running 3 Gen 7s On Your 240 Will Work. Go With What Best Fits Your Space And Needs The Best :hump:

Do you know the idiots guide to PPFD calculation. I'm decent with math( one time say good) but often on this site, the answer if followed by debate.
Thanks great recommendation on the SST.
Furthermore, i'm sure you have ideas about the limits of Vero29, with FV, ma and thermal limits? No shit right?
How many ma more ma can a SST ? ( Active 55cfm whoops 2100 with ease) I can read data sheets, and can see max loads. I'm more like looking what your thinking is on optimal levels.
I mean WTF 3 different FV's?
I like making the chassis tray style like yours, but I'm ready to double it for my purposes.
So I'm trolling for some info before I drop 5 bills ?

Lmao WTF Is PPFD Or PFR Or PBR Alls Eyes Knows Is Eyes Grows Uck Uck Uck Uck :eyesmoke: I Think Its Safe To Push A Tad Bit Harder Like 320 watt 2.8 mA Or If You Want To Do A Stand Alone Push It To 100 Watts I Believe The SST Will Handel It. :weed:

OK, Sounds like all is good with Gen 7, general rules apply. You have to admit a small timer like myself is like 'WTF'. I've been rolling with Bridgelux, and know there product. So now it's triple the fn process, or you get the point.
Any word on 480 release? I need one yesterday !!!
