Day 17

Bit worried about the oldest plant. I've noticed that the leaves are starting to curl in underneath it. It started off with one leaf but it seems others are following suit. I don't think its heat cause its a maximum of 28c in the grow room. They haven't had anything since the weak nute feeding and i've been going easy on the watering since the start. From what I've read it seems to be a overdose of nitrogen. Gave them a watering today so hopefully that'll go along way to undoing some of the damage

I'm inclined to say its a bit of both to be honest, I really don't think the light is up to the job. def going to invest in a hps as soon as i can afford it. at the moment i've got a computer fan in there wired up to one of those mains converter things I'm gonna upgrade that to a 8' desk fan today.

just had a look at them before going off and getting that fan and the plant that was suffering has perked up and is back to normal. in terms of size the biggest one which is 18 days old stands about 7cm tall and is about 7-10cm wide

watttu[ dpc...you said the temps were dropping kind of low at nite? that may also cause the folding ...im sure they will start picking up the pace with the new fan too..just dont run that fan when the lights are off or they will def get cold...keep it growin brah !!

Right im really hungover cause i was at my brothers 30th last night so i'll keep this short n sweet.

the oldest plant has exploded growth wise in the last couple of days. got a new node and in the region of 25mm growth per day the bigger fan is great, the stems are looking way more strong. £8 well spent. gonna start the oldest plant on bio bloom either tomorrow or tues.

just for myself cause i keep forgetting and having to work this out - oldest plant is 23 days old, 2nd oldest is about 16 or 17 days old and youngest in a week maybe 10 days old

looks good, might want to straiten the leaning one if possible with out damaging it, I would try pushing some soil up on it to try and get it upright until the roots get longer and stronger and the main stalk gets thick.

I grew a BCN Diesel Auto and it took a full month to start flowering and that is when I flipped the lights to 18/6, there is a difference in low ryders and autos. My auto yielded 3.5oz and was 3.5 feet tall. here is a pic of the BCN Diesel by kannabia seeds two weeks from harvest:

harvest.jpgbcn.jpg The first pic is after I had just chopped it and cut all the fan leaves off and the second is when it was two weeks from being done. good luck on your grow, oh and i always use hydro which grows faster than soil.

yeah i managed to prop up the leaning one and with the more powerful fan in there its really beefed up the stems. thats a good harvest mate my oldest plant is about 4 weeks old at the moment and its really starting to get going now. more or less got a new node appearing every day which is awesome.

i want do a hydro next cause of the increase in yield and grow speed

@Le Spliff Doctor: yeah hydro is about 1/2 as fast as soil once the plant goes into bloom you can see an inch of growth a day and some strains you can harvest in 60 days because of the fast growth. You should research ebb and flow systems, very simple to use and hydro is way easier than soil imo. I got rid of my recirculating deep water culture and bought an ebb and flow system. At the moment I am still modifying my cab (taking my sweet time since I can go to dispensary's and have a buddy that is always sitting on about a pound of high grade hydro, he is my mentor) I took out the top shelf used for cloning so I can have a foot of more height and also bought an inline filter and 200cfm fan for it so I just have to install the filter and new fan but I'm waiting on my pops to help since he has every tool you can think of.

Northern Lights is a stellar strain and if grown well it will blow your socks off and it has a nice taste and look to it, hope it turns out great for you buddy!

Northern Lights lineage: Afghani x Skunk #1 x Haze and is sativa dominant and has a short grow period, high yields, and great potency

thats good to hear po boy, northern lights is a classic and its always a good smoke! i went for this first cause of the ease of growth. out if interest how much yield do you usually get per plant? i know your growing conditions are gonna be pretty different to mine which will affect yield but it would good to have an idea of what to expect
my best harvest from one has been 3 oz. usually they yield just over 2 oz. GL

Day 30

Well lads, 30 days since the beans started germinating. I've been away for work a lot over the last week and managed to get tickets to the wales match on saturday so treked it out there. but anyway the girls are looking pretty good in my opinion. got a bit of a surprise when i took a look at them for the first time in 6 days cause they've fairly exploded in growth alright

Week 5

Well lads here we are 5 weeks in for the oldest plant. I thinks its about 4 weeks for the next oldest and about 3 weeks for the youngest. The oldest & 2nd oldest plants are showing sex, its got some lovely white hairs on the go. The youngest isn't yet but it'll work itself out given time..

I tried to take a picture of the pistols on the oldest plant but the auld camera phone wasnt up to the job.

Also i've had a humidity meter in there for the last couple of weeks. humiditys 50% with very little variation. temps are between 22-25C.

to be honest i haven't really spent much time on them recently cause ive been so busy with work

edit: i think realistically the first plant isn't going to be ready for another 5 weeks maybe 6
