This is not a drill people... when i was running around first trying to get the best possible soil the fastest i went with miracle grow moisture control.... and after reading whether it was good or not i got tired of you guys going 50/50 on it so i put my own shit on the line to show you guys in a little home done experiment which is better... Now as you can tell i've done two different strains and the ones on the bottom or in fox farm and the ones at the top are in miracle grow at three weeks... SO LET ME SAY THIS AGAIN NO BULLSHIT DONT DO IT IF YOU VALUE WHAT YOU ARE GROWING, and obviously you do you are on this web site... just stay clear of the MG its bad for you

Who said MG is better? I use it, I'll tell others how to use it well, but nobody ever said it's better to my knowledge.

You can use it, but I'd suggest that a newbie stick with an easier choice..MG can be problematic and if your diagnostic skills are lacking you may get screwed when/if problems arise...... IMO.

Miracle Grow, Petters Plant Food and all that Chem ferts on the market WILL make your plant appear healthy & robust. Fox Farm people really done their homework, and designed a mix that the plant needs to be healthy, not just look good.
A well balanced diet will keep me healthy, & I will "feel" full. However, Meth will make me "feel" wonderful. Chemical ferts may "look" good, but a whole cast of damage is being done to the soil, causing big time problems. The full potential of any plant will never be fulfilled, the size, yield, quality of bud, etc. If growers used only organic, the majority of the RIP Post would be to brag, instead of needing help to fix a plant's problems.
Please keep us updated and post in the Organic section also, Titled Miracle Grow sucks, or something like that. Good work.

for an accurate experiment they must be 2 clones from the same mother and usually its not the mg that kills plants it the grower

I have used miracle grow potting soil and some plants did ok with it, a good flush is definatly in order. I would suggest adding perilite and maybe dolomite lime to your mix and make sure you get the potting soil and not the miracle grow for gardens. I just hate all the fungus gnats that come out of the stuff, miracle grow should sterilize it from bugs. If you use miracle grow I would recommend breaking up a skeeter dunk in your water to prevent a hatch of the gnats.I recently bought some Fox farms happy frog and the plants just love the stuff. You can run your fingers through the Happy frog soil and just see the difference, dark, loamy, and nutritious. Spend the extra coin and get some fox farms at least you'll get some return off of your project.

I used many different soils and I would say that Miracle Grow has given me the best results and I've never had any nute problems. I stopped using it to try some other soils and I ended up dumping the bag of the new soil and going back to the MG. If you use it correctly, MG is great stuff. A question. Are you watering at the same time as the FF? Because you bought the MG with moisture control, you should be watering once for every 2 FF waterings. Oh, never flush MG either until after a month or two of use.

Who makes a better shoe, Nike or Adidas? All depends on the individual wearing them and how they use them.

ive used MG on my grows so far and had no problems at all..like others have said I think its the grower..besides when you said you used "two different strains" is that implying that one strain got MG and one Fox Farm? if so thats not a fair comparison since certain strains grow faster than others...hey FDD..nice pic! got yourself a jungle there..hey the smiley rolling its eyes..that mean you used MG on your plants?

hes a MG man, and so far i am too. i understand the miller high life to Guinness theory, if you pay more its got to be better, but so far i must say the cheap MG has done me well too. if i can find a bag of FF i will give it a shot, but im amazed by all the posts that MG=SHIT , ITS NOT THE SOIL ITS THE GROWER

(and btw i love miller high life )

I think the organic miracle grow does look interesting. I just don't like the miracle grow with the little nute balls in it. I would think that more time is spent making Fox farms soils as compared to miracle grow..and with most things...you get what you pay for.

i never got fox farms stuff but i know its expensive and good. i use mg with nothing but great results ! i guess its all about how you use it . i add vermic. perlite. and pulverized lime. just dont feed your plants for a month and all is fine.

here are my plants with 20 days of growth in mg moisture control!

All very good arguments people i like what you have to say. This experiment is designed to show that the two different strains( you can tell by the different leaf formation) are so much smaller than the other grown in fox farm. I'm not saying its impossible to grow no not at all. I'm saying that if you are going to plant a plant thats going to take months upon months of care and watching and waiting and energy, you will regret it in the end by not releasing the plants full potential. If you just wanna see if you could do it like i did on my first grow be my guest and grow away. Ill post more pics as they progress so you can really tell the difference between the two.

No when i say I have that i have two strain. the two pics are of the two different ones and how two different strains one indie in fox one in mg and one sativa in fox and one in mg and the fox farm right now is three time the size of the mg. And on the Indi it has some nute burn from its time release stuff. Just plain water for both and the mg is givin a day or two more to dry up
