This may be good for Chicago; maybe they'll be more likely to pass the Medical MJ Bill to help the state raise some money.

People should have really looked at how Chicago politics operate, before voting a Chicago politician into the highest office in the land, but none of the networks reported what's going on here; high taxes; corruption; political favors (like the one Obama just did for Daley); government waste... and the list goes on. This is nothing new, this is the way the Dems have been running Chicago for decades.

I'm happy because there will be less traffic, and the MJ Bill has a better chance.

In the meantime they keep raising taxes on other things Cook County takes blow in Tax hike

In the end not having the Olympics is going to save Obama from a scandal.

The criticisms leveled at those of us who are glad Obama failed in Chicago's Olympic bid are laughable at best. Americans don't fuel their pride from the location of the games, it comes from cheering for our athletes and celebrating their inevitable successes. When I'm watching it on my tv, I don't care where it's being held. It's about the athletes and their dedication and sacrifice to their chosen event.

Let's put it in these terms. Are you going to cheer less for team USA, BECAUSE the games are in Rio instead of Chicago. If your answer is "NO" then your previous accusations are null and void, if "yes" then YOU are one of the non-patriotic scumbags you claim we are.

In a way I think it helps Obama. He is having a hard time coming across as warm. Even ppl close to him describe him as a cold fish.

He needs someone to help him out. It also makes it look like he hasn't done anything wrong..... uhhh, he has done PLENTY wrong.

If I had to take two recent politicians out for some brews, it would easily be Biden and Bush. After a few brews, those guys would be hysterical. I might even learn some national security codes....
