Plasma lighting....all that or not??

I'm gonna get some pics for you guys, so you can see for yourself, but my little bro bought 2 of these new 420 watt plasma lights (not sure of brand yet), and he is running them both in a 4x8 tent just like we usually do with 2000 watts of HPS. The plants are just as fat and tight and crystally as we have ever gotten from the HPS lighting......this could be the next big thing. I'll update this with pics soon, and show the rest of the grow as it finishes. He's at week 5 of flower now. UPDATES TO COME!!

Cant wait to see this. Let us know which brand plasmas they are when you find out.

Ive heard a small bit about these. Can I ask how much one of these 42o watt plasma's set your bro back? I bet there pricey... Im very interested .... Keep us posted man

Subbed to this one. Read about them a while back but didn't see any in mass production, they sound pretty good.

Like Smokey asked, i'd be interested in some details on the lights: price,availability etc.

There's a place not far from me that sells 700 and 1030watt plasma lights, I might have to stop by there!

any links to these plasma lights. i know of chameleon lights and a company called polar ray, and gavita. they are all 300 watt models. they have great spectrum but i think they lack the intensity to realy produce weight. gavita is reccomending that you use them in conjunction with hps to produce a higher quality product.

I didn't know they'd come out with a 1K equivalent yet.

I saw a video that showed the 1K as well as photos, they put off phenomenal amounts of light!

Yes they are the Indigrow model 420s I'll get back to you guys with pics of the grow , I promise. It's only a couple miles from me. They were pricey I know, and I'll get ya what he paid, straight from the manufacturer. Nice to see so much interest...Im definitly sold on em' .

Ah ok those induction, but I'm just as happy to look at a grow with those too!

Well what we really want to know is who makes this light. Primarily is this the Luxim light engine or something new.

The Luxim engine is good, but it's not the plasma to get excited over. They use a metal halide plasma, it produces a good spectrum, but lacks in the reds and far reds that we so love for flowering. You often see these Luxim engine powered units supplemented by a bank of red LEDs.


Now sulphur plasma. Thats drool worthy.
