I have heard this theory of bud swelling , has a typical plant response and possibly throws stuff out as a last ditch effort like they do . But alot of this is not 100 percent I don't think

It forces the plant to use stored nutrients in the leaves and there are about 1,000,000 pictures of this process on this website alone. I'm not saying flushing gets the nutrients out of the weed. smh

Just looking outside the box here but did you flush and no nutes the last two weeks? I'm trying to go by the depletion of nutrients in the leaves and it would seem like you have another week at least if you did flush. Not saying that trich scoping isn't the best method because it is but if the homie doesn't have a magnification device strong enough there are other options.

So you got the best answers from wait pretty damn close to cut. Obviously you are in the harvest window so it is pretty much personal preference now.

after 4-5 more days of your 12/12 light schedule I'd leave it in total darkness 48 full hours....Then chop.

Total darkness for 2 full days will trick the plant into thinking summer and fall is over, it will put out maximum self protection to avoid death (all cannabinoids possible from that plant, and max thc level)

I flush with water for like 3-5 days max...any more than that and the quality of your plant will go backwards..
Your judge when its harvest time when 80-90% of the white hairs turn brown..
