Replacing AN's Voodoo, Piranha And Tarantula With Tea??

I've been doing a lot of searching about the benifits of aerated compst teas, and have come to the conclusion that they are awsome for plant/root growth and health. Now here's where i need some help from the masters. If i where to brew a batch of ACT using high quality mulch, liquid kelp, great white and molasses, could i replace the hundreds of dollars worth of AN products? Sence all the AN products are just mycrobes and fungi's. Im sure i wouldn't have the exact ratio or speicies they do but it should be real close and have plenty of life to keep the medium thriving. Can anyone shed a bit of insight on this subject, may somthing i need to add or eliminate to make it better? thanks and happy gardening.

IMO Advanced Nutrient microbe products are among the worse on the market. I like ZHO powder + aquashield or the soluble mycogrow powder from fungi.com. Fungi.com powder is the exact same product as great white but only $6/oz. (and super fast shipping)

You can see the link in my sig for info on brewing tea with a focus on microbes, and not on nutrients. (so it can be used with many different nute systems) It is a journal of what I have learned researching and applying tea to fight/prevent disease. It is tailored for a DWC set up but you can easily adjust it for whatever you are using. It costs only pennies per gallon and makes a far superior product than AN sells.

I have not personally used 'homemade' compost, although the ancient forest soil amendment is composted forest detritus. Others have used their own compost in the tea and as long as it's composted correctly and thoroughly, it should offer a nice diverse microbe population.
