Here's the reality of the situation: His actions were indefensible. However, being that this happened while they were young it can easily be stated that this doesn't necessarily represent who Romney is now. I would point to each and every one of you and say that if you believe your younger years were nothing but angelic than you should see a shrink because pathological liars tend to be sociopaths.
That being said, those of you who were anti-Romney a few months ago and are now defending him: I am ashamed. Romney was picked by the elites. He is not your savior.

i don't think it has much legs either, but i was not the one who said that the student was presumed gay. that would be romney's classmates at the time.
and yes, there were sometimes bullies and fights at school, but not really anything like this. pinning a kid down who's crying and screaming for help and cutting off his hair as he cries helplessly? yeah, that kind of vicious bullying never happened in my school.

usually when there was a fight at my school, it was over if someone cried. that means you won. you don't go on after that point unless you're a soulless monster.

Well when you say gay, you don't really mean gay. I've called many people gay in anger, not because I hate gay people but as an insult, strange when I look at it with some objectivity calling someone gay just seems weird. Not just in the calling of someone gay but also how they would react when teased in such a way. Hmmmmm...
Dude kids can be pretty cruel, we had three big guys turning a kid upside down and shaking him.. I forget why, was so long ago. And a big fight happening between two grades because one kid called another one pizzaface (he had acne.. everywhere) I was the grade above those in question, so my grade didn't do anything. Are you sure you went to school? Of course it was schoolyard crap, nothing about gay or anything, if you were gay you just tended to hang out with girls, and no-one bothered anyone.

Umm... if your saying that mental bullying is not as much of a big deal to physical bullying maybe you should rethink your position my friend. Theyre just as bad and just as serious. Granted bullying shouldn't happen in the first place, buts its just how it is.
DUDE What fights did you see, it was over when someone cried? thats not a fight thats just one kid whaling on another. A fight is two people willingly coming to blows against each other. Noone cries, one kid just balls up on the ground and the other kid just stops. And the friends of the victor cheer, and say some parting insults to the loser, and the losers friends just come over and pick up their mate, letting them know its over.

obama was 6 at the time. the only other black student, a little fat girl, chased him around the playground and they fell to the ground together. the other kids starting saying "coretta has a boyfriend" and obama gave her a slight shove and told her to stay away.
they were 6 years old.
romney, nearly a fully formed adult, keeps on assaulting this kid after he is on the ground crying and screaming for help.
a fight is one thing. bullying is a completely different thing.

The only that that he kept doing was "repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors" (Props to the WaPo for making a haircut seem like he was stabbing him). This was a time when social conservatism was popular with the elite, and the dregs of the young people were all smoking pot, in third rate schools. (Not all of them, but I think it was more about that he looked like a hippie in a conservative environment, than more about being gay)
Also I hadn't checked Obamas bullying story, I was merely referring to a previous post where it was brought up. So you'll forgive me for using it as a standpoint that bullying occurs everywhere, and shouldnt be taken lightly in any case.

romney rounded up a posse, sought out a kid who was younger than him and just minding his own business, tackled him, pinned him, and started cutting off his hair against his will as he cried and screamed for help.
my haircuts never happen like that.
