You know it all. You should write a book. Farmers are pro. Look at all the excess nutrients floating around in the water. Yeah, i trust them too. Lol
do you even have a clue what is in your "hydro store nutes"
that you are dumping in at 5ml per liter...is what you stated
dumping into unsustainable peat moss based medium...do you have a clue how long that takes to grow back
while I use coco.....a byproduct of food that is grown continually

get a clue

I have two Cree CXB3590 fixtures, too. 3500k, 80 CRI. They’re good, but relatively to one emitter driven at similar amps and voltage, the Cree is ~200 PPFD below. I also believe Cree hasn’t put out updated emitters in a year or two, so they are falling behind there. Crees still work and are solid emitters, but they need to update their line.

Soo

Why vero over strips? Even bridgelux strips...
I wouldn’t say over strips. If you do it right, strips are better than COBs but are completely DIY. However, I bought my first COBs just prior to Strips and QBs making an appearance and prefer to use two giant emitters with concentrated light penetration putting out about 1013 PPFD in my area. I am considering adding on strips to my fixture, though.

You are right. My peatmoss is evil. Ill give you that. And the nutes too. This was all a test for me to start learning as i build up resources for a sustainable grow. I will be doing no till next and always from now on with all my own stuff... As much as poss. :)

+1 for you

For sure. I definitely wouldn’t switch out my COBs. I’d expand onto them, but they’re staple of my grow until I see a reason to upgrade otherwise.

who is squirming?

I purchased my 3590's over 3 years ago
yes the new Vero COBs are better on paper....might be better in the garden
but there is literally no reason to change my cobs out unless there is an extreme difference

and you are running Citizen 1212's
dude and you just purchased them

You said your had a buddy with vero and they werent as good as your cree. I know my citi arent amazing but they are like what. $5 each? I dgaf for that price ..My meanwell and passive heatsinks that i got in the kit is what matters. See how i have only 3 on a 240 1400a? Ill be adding strips in parallel on this to make a sweet light when i get time and research into best strips/ custom diode build at time of purchase.
