Bump from last page!

I love HPS  that thing is just SO damn bright. My soil tester also has a light meter and on its scale my CFL was a 6/10 the HPS is a 9/10 :bigjoint:
So uh... BIG BUDS HERE I COME!! If you're a CFL grower and want to up your yields I HIGHLY recommend this setup, after running for a couple hours NO noticeable increase in temps. On with the pics!

Here is the HPS/tent as it exists now.

Pretty bitchin' right?

Looks great Shack!
Although I would suggest maybe moving the left side of the light up a few chain links
I think that it would cover the tent a little better, it seems the plant on the left is a little shaded

edit: not so much shaded just not under as intense of light, the plant on the right is getting hit w/ a good bit more than the plant on the left judging by the pictures

you are correct. you think a little tilt up is the key? i had the same thought.
i'll do that tomorrow when the lights are back on. i was also considering putting something under the shorter plant on the right, to guarantee even coverage, in addition to the chain adjustment.
Everything looks great shack

cant wait for the results :weed:
i know i am getting pumped now!! the penetration on this thing is ridiculous!!
lower leaves are actually receiving light. it's still dark in the thick of it, but thats expected.
what i notice the most is when i open the tent and pull the girls out to water and check the buds, the shadow it creates!! i used to have to turn the light on the room. with the HPS it casts so much light that it makes a shadow on the closet wall

my temps are like nothing changed inside the tent!! ambient temp up the closet jumped about 2-3 degrees which i find interesting.

pending final dry weight, this 150HPS gets my seal of approval!!

PS anybody have the link to 150HPS club thread?? seen it before but i lost it :-(

And I'm gonna get on that chain raising tomorrow lights are off for the night.

There you go Shack
And I think that moving that left side up a couple links would work great at spreading the light over the plants a little better
Glad you've enjoyed the read and thanks for subscribing.
Let me know when you start up your grow, I'm more than happy to help out.
Thank you, I'm humbled that you would use my grow as a "guide" :dunce:
I'm still learning, this is only my second grow!! (I've only been doing this for about a year)

Haha, that's two more than me! Well, unless you count the bag seed that I grew to 18" under one 20 watt floro tube, haha! Two months and I had no more room:( I'll definitely keep you posted!

Well I have to say I am shocked by Gwen's development. Is it possible to have 30-35 day flowering period? no joke her buds look amazing, still visible stem on the colas, but DAMN look much weight she has packed on already. Also check out the trichome production, the photos don't do her justice, she is WHITE!

Liza however is definitely more sativa dominant and is going to require a longer flower period. But.. I'm not complaining :bigjoint: Just touching one of her leaves has your hand smelling of fresh citrus mmmmm.

It's ridiculous how well these girls are living up to their names!
LEMON skunk and Great WHITE Shark

Enjoy!!

Looks really great man. You will be very happy with the new lamp at end of cycle.
Thanks brother. I'm ALREADY happy with the new lamp. The lower nodal bud production is awesome. The buds just below the tops on GWS are incredible, this bulb has most definitely increased my total yield.

Lemon SKunk is a hard strain to find.. Did you grow from seed or clone?

If so where did you get it
wasn't aware it was hard to find. its from seed. GreenHouseSeed Co.
only wish it would have been crossed a few more times to get the nodes a little tighter.

thanks for dropping in.
