I think you have to do your research and decide what light best fits your style, budget and grow room/closet/tent ect....over the years I have grown with lots of lights going back 20 plus years to my HPS days...and those HPS fixtures will still get it done today...I switched over to LED's almost 4 years ago to beat the heat....started with COB's... then..HLG quantum boards...great lights by the way....then Optic LED...600 &650 Series....I love them they are great lights....I also picked up some GeekBeast Pro lights I got on a great deal...also great lights....but my favorite are the Optic's...but thats just me...all those lights and many many others will grow great cannabis...many other factors go into growing excellent smoke besides the lights...environment..grower skill..strain...ect...all are just as important if not more so...

with that said...Lets go Team Optic!!!

I’ve had the Optic 8+ since 2018. Still figuring it out! Lol. Just bought the Gavita 1700e to go along side. Let me tell you the Gavita is one of kind. Almost zero heat! Pricey but Incredible light.

What are the basic settings your using on Optic 8 for veg/flower? Are you going full blast late in bloom? When do use the bloom enhancer? Thanks!
Hey. I switched over to the optic 600 slim for more even coverage. I did keep the grow cobs on about 40-50% with the bloom enhancers on all through veg. I turn the veg cobs all the way up when I switch to flower to reduce stretching and promote tighter node spacing, I follow the paper posted when it comes to the bloom cobs. The cobs are stronger than the optic slim 600 leds so I pay closer attention to the top of the canopy for signs of light stress as im ramping the lights up every 3 days . Ive never seen light burn with optic leds(ive had my plants 4 inches from the optic 6) but with cobs you can burn tf out of your plants because of the IR.
I still pull the optic 8+ out during the winter for a run or 2 since the IR in the spectrum allows me to run cooler Temps
