Oh I just thought @Fevs I could use Mycorrhizal (Rootgrow from Wilkinson's, where I get the soil. Cheap but all good quality) when I transplant....I used it before and it seems to work well....get a good spread of thin hairy roots....I remember looking before...the root structures are nuts and held the soil together when I lifted the stumps out the soil post harvest. I find the soil mix I use is light and I use pouches so not sure I really need vermiculite?
Cheers mate....keep remembering stuff I meant to ask...plus see above post....... ;)

I've got a couple of fans, an 8 inch and a 4 inch so they'll help with circulation now it's getting warmer. I could get a fan speed/temp controller/thermostat I guess would help? I think they're about £25 off ebay......I've got a thermo/hygro meter in the corner....

Just thought I'd update with details as I think of them :)

Laters...off to Wilkinsons to buy bits.....and have a pint or 2 in the sun :) :)

What's pouches?
I use vermiculite in my mixes as I hate watering every day with the lighter mixes.

Sun .?? What Sun!

Hiyah @StonerCol ,
Confused.com

"Just the bigger one is under the 1 LED at a height of 110 cms. It looks fine but I'm not sure if the height, 14cms is a good height? "

Your 1 big plant is 40 inches away from your 5 watt led?
14cm? - 5 inches? Is that the cfl distance from the wee ones?

Sorry for any confusion man. I'll clarify.

The small ones are at 1 end of the groom under a big CFL at about 8 inches.
Bigger one is under 150W LED at a height of 110 cms...I have had probs with stunting plants and A LOT of bleaching so I'm being very careful.....I'm open to suggestions though man, thanks :)
Hope that clarifies bro?
Thanks for the interest :bigjoint:

Sweet.
I would be lowering the led down to 24" - 600mm over several days.
Shouldn't harm it.

Is there any way you can make a separate vegging area?

I like to just leave the leds at the top, if they have 5w leds. 3w leds, i'd say 12''-24'' is good.

I can tell you that leaving the led at the top, you sure learn about the panels fast. If there is too much stretch, lower it slightly until you hit the perfect level of growth.

Keep taking photo's, take photo's with led off too. It's hard to spot things when leds are on, but important to see the plants often, to check they are in prime condition.

Cheers for the advice guys, much appreciated.

I actually have a piece of board that is 60 cms by 100 cms, covered in Mylar that I could use/have used to partition off the lighting but not the fan/filter above. Basically creating different areas on the cheap! :)

Yeah I want to leave the lights where they are if I can. Let the plant get used to it - it's only been under it for 2-3 days. I can't afford to fuck up this grow so am being cautious.

So chaps, after procrastinating for what seems like an eon I've finally got some pics to share. I have to say I'm a little deflated by how the plants look :( They looked so much better - and bigger - in my pantry than out of it. I guess that's entirely normal but I'm still a little unhappy. They look *reasonably* healthy despite me being a clumsy twat and ripping off bits of leaves as I moved them in and out of the groom. I also realised that being clumsy when using a metal tape measure to check heights will cut leaves up a bit!

I left them in small 1ltr pots that they sprouted in for too long but they seem to be growing upwards OK. The small plant has only been out of its tiny pot for a few days so it should start to shoot up a bit fairly soon.
There are 2 pics of each plant. Also a few pics of my groom setup.

And just to prove that I'm not a total gimp here is a pic of the very first Cannabis plant I grew. I'm quite proud of this pic. Taken with my Samsung S6. I used a couple of big CFL's to grow this Fast & Vast Northern Lights.
I miss the days of opening my pantry door, looking into the crevices of this flowering girl and seeing trichs increasing day by day.....

Is that a clip on RAM fan on your floor? What do you think of them? I have one clipped on to my Cob frame and to me it doesn't seem to shift any air.

Yo! How's it going man? Yeah it is a RAM - although it is on the shelf not the floor, but yeah it is OK but not great.. I will br replacing it with something more powerful fairly soon. I'll probs get one of those floor-standing swivel jobbies :)

Been there with the tape measure.....
I'd a blackstar led several years ago and I was measuring it's height from canopy , I touched the light with the tape and tripped the whole house lol .
A dangerous piece of crap!

Yo dude, sup! Luckily my panels have a glass/perspex plate over the led's to stop idiots like me from doing that kinda thing....

I'm all good man, just been doing the final weigh in on my last lot. Happy with the way its turned out. But I'm having neighbour issues which are bothering me. I go to every length possible to make sure my groom and house is smell free. But the fool next door seems to be ducting uncleaned air under the house which is connected to mine via the old floor joists. As of this minute my entire bottom floor stinks and I can smell it outside. I have had words with him a few times but he just plays dumb. Getting to the point where I feel my door could come in due to his stupidity.

As far as fans, I have all sorts in my tents. PC fans are good for a light breeze, stronger and quieter than the RAM I have. Also got a tower fan suspended on its side and an oscillating desk fan. I recently added a 14" wall fan which I have hooked to the ceiling pointing down. I highly recommend that one. I will have to see if I can find a link and post it later.
I bought the RAM for quietness which it is but it doesn't do a lot...
