start with denmark.

min wage there is about $20 an hour, as opposed to our $7.25 (2.75 times as much).

their big big mac costs $5.15 to our $4.80 (7% more).

good luck finding something "truthy" to explain that one away, boy.
Wrong. Big Mac combo meal near me is $5.00. kr70 (kroners) for a Big Mac meal in Denmark which is $10.

My guess is you probably have never even been to Denmark, I have. Any beef in northern and central Europe is expensive. Not that American McDonalds serve beef.

Have you ever seen a picture like that where the kids were fat? Fat means not hungry. We're so rich in the US, we get to complain about how poorness makes us fat. What a load of bullshit to those who are actually malnourished. They must be skinny because they eat all organic, unprocessed foods, right? (I keep hearing that the poor in the US are fat because they can't afford "healthy" food). We eat so much food that it makes us fat, it's an insult to those with not enough food for us complain about it.
hmm You beat a lot of drums at once in that message. Are you saying that a $15 minimum wage is too high because fat people?

McD's totally sucks. Salt + fat + salt + fat + sugar + sugar. And you gotta fucking pay MONEY to eat it. They outta have to pay people to eat their trashy food.
Seriously go anywhere in the USA, especially the SE USA, and McDonalds is being destroyed by Chick Fil A and others.

I was in Colorado and the local McD gets some traffic at lunch. Chick Fil A is packed running two drive thru lines. The Wendys close by must say it's prayers every day at lunch because they get overflow from Chick Fil A because it is so packed. I am not saying Chick Fil A's chicken is that great but their fries and even Wendys fries blow McD away.

I have seen traffic jams at Chick Fil A around the country. The restaurants are clean and the staff is courteous. They walk around asking you if you need a refill on your drink. Service service service. Closed on Sunday. Ha ha.

Is that a prediction that TOOL will release a new album within the next 4 years?
Love those guys but saw them in Sac a few years ago and it was the worse concert in my memory......well except that Fugazi show <shudder>

I hope they don't go the route of "we're old now so tickets are $1000 each".

I do not go in them very often but when you are on the road sometimes you have too. When you drive past these places you notice the lines. I avoid red meat as much as I can,

There are a bunch of other burger places that have popped up over the years taking on McDonalds. In and Out, Whattaburger, Five Guys and many others. One out in CO and many other places is Freddys Steakburgers.

You guys are obsessing over McDonalds and fast food jobs. Automation will take over jobs in every sector.
This is hopefully where weed growth will not be automated. If just you bitches would tell me a good closer to boost trichomes and make my buds frosty. You keep holding back this info like capitalist pigs! :finger:

This includes halfwits prattling about northern European "nirvana" countries they never visited. The women are smoking hot in those places too. Been there. :fire:

being poor makes you unhealthy. being fat is a side effect of being unhealthy. People born poor (to no fault of there own) in countries with really high wealth inequalities have lower life expectancies then poor people born in poor countries.

January 2006, a report into poverty in The Scotsmannewspaper[4] stated that "a child born in Calton... is three times as likely to suffer heart disease, four times as likely to be hospitalised and ten times as likely to grow up in a workless household than a child in the city's prosperous western suburbs". Calton has the lowest male life expectancy in Scotland. A BBC Scotland news report on 13 February 2006 pointed out that, partially due to poor diet, crime, alcohol and drug abuse, life expectancy in Calton is lower than in some areas of Iraq or the Gaza Strip.

There are a lot of interesting science behind the fat epidemic. Some of it is good. Basically, a person gets fat when they consume more calories than they use over a period of time. The calories don't have to be balanced and so a person can have a nutritional deficiency and still be fat. Why people over consume food to the point of being unhealthy is probably what you are alluding to. Stress and unhappiness are factors. Certain foods like sugar and refined white flour are also part of the problem. So, yeah, too many of the wrong calories consumed by a stressed out unemployed family is a recipe for obesity and poor health. I don't understand @churchhaze 's obsession with the subject, however.

It was in response to people here claiming that you get fat from eating processed, non-organic food. I'm not sure what you're so confused about. If someone makes ridiculous claims, I will argue against them. Straight up, you get fat because you intake more calories than you burn, not because you eat mcdonalds.
