Wage Gap between richest 1% and poorest 1% by state

How do you feel about this kind of income inequality in America in 2016?

  • This is proof the rich are greedy

  • The rich own everything

  • The rich earned it

  • The poor deserve it

  • This makes our nation stronger

  • This makes our nation weaker

  • It's a sign of impending economic collapse

  • It's a sign of the End Times

  • Pinworm stomps it down the drain

I think the gap illustrates where Americans priorities have shifted. From community towards self.
If the average American felt like the community was there for them, they'd be much more inclined to be there for the community.

I know this because that community spirit is still alive and well in some parts of the country, like small towns in the West. In such places, people still help one another without expecting anything in return.

This ideal has long since vanished in America big cities and depressed areas.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Yep that was Bush relying on the goodness of local charities to carry "Global" Industry's responsibility.

Now you know what it's like when your crew shows up and posts:

SANDERS! ESTABLISHMENT! FINANCE REFORM! GREEDY! CHEATER HILLARY! SANDERS! ESTABLISHMENT! FINANCE REFORM! GREEDY! CHEATER HILLARY! SANDERS! ESTABLISHMENT! FINANCE REFORM! GREEDY! CHEATER HILLARY!

In every single thread.

Sense of community exists allover, not just out west. Why would you think that? I always help my neighbors by doing little odds n ends kinds of things, and in return they do small things for me, it's nothing that's expected. I don't need to have anything in return, I don't mind helping people, I enjoy it, it makes me feel good.

It's there in the city/urban areas also, have you ever been in the "hood"? They look out for one another, very tight knit.

Right. 'for each other'. Not for strangers.

Wrong.

Not a personal attack, just a question,
I have to wonder, you don't get outside or away from the internet much, do you?
I do plenty of both.

I'm speaking from personal experience. Out West in smaller towns, people are generally willing to help a stranger, no questions asked. In bigger cities like Denver and back East such as South Florida, not so much.

I realize I'm one person and my experience is perforce subjective. Of course YMMV.

But as a general trend...

Your post history says otherwise.
