i hired a lawyer and stuck a PI on the guy who claimed to have gotten a visit from the DEA. it was all bullshit just to rip me off. i let it go and moved on. didn't rat anyone, made sure to protect every person close to me at the time. found all new partners to be safe.
that's how you handle that. no need to be a rat.
