The state updated election result site says 24% of the ballots have been counted and it is failing by over 10 points. It will not pass.

Is it me, or is it mainly peeps with medical cards that are (were) against Prop19?

Doc111 has a great point, does this really need to be flaunted in front of people. People think it's cool to come to the Dam and walk around smoking...it's not, people look at you (well locals do) like you are stooopid! There are places to do that sort of thing, just like you are not allowed to drink on the street. Christ, if people just looked at things in a more open way, rather than, me, me, me all the time. And if you can...just go and get a medical card, is that really the correct way? I have seen the med cards, the fake i.ds we use to throw together at school was more professional, and that was the 80's!!!

I have painfull arthiritis, does that mean if I move to Cali I can get a Med card? Oh, and sometimes I don't sleep to well, and christ, if I have a heavy curry I get stomach cramps, and sometimes when I am waiting on something to happen I can get anxious, and then.....Oh, but wait, I probably couldn't move to the US because I have a criminal record and drug convictions that I went to court for and it ruined my employment opportunities( I quote the Judge, " Your punishment will be your criminal record"! that was over two decade ago....things haven't changed, so is some change not good?)

If they make it legal in my home country, do you think I should take the government to court for ruining my employment chances and marginalising me in society!!! No, I'll just roll a fat one and celebrate!!!

It all just seems crazy to me....perhaps I should go and read Prop19...lol. Well good luck to whatever you voted, may everyone win!!

So it didn't pass, what a shame. I do not reside in the usa let alone cali but if this went ahead I was gonna move lol

Ah well would have been amazing, I bet it was all the drug dealers that voted against it.

I'm disappointed, some people are selfish for any one that voted on prop 19 I hope you were thinking of everyone in the world when you voted because this is bigger than you. When you are dead and gone you won't matter but what you did yesterday had the chance to change the world. Thank you. :(

You guys really are pathetic. The one time stoners and growers had a chance to change something, and you all fucking blew it. Fuck you cali.

Dude if it did pass the DEA would be working overtime enforcing federal law anyway so what is everyone crying about. People keep making a big deal about this sate law that wouldnt mean dick except that there would be an active effort to arrest pot growers by the DEA.

Sounds like more jobs for pot growers and law enforcers alike. More jobs = good. Or has the economy of California recovered yet? I didn't think it had.

Also peoples lives are being ruined all over the world especially where the major cartels reside. I'm glad everyone thought about them when they voted, I know helping the helpless is one of the major things I think about when I vote. Not helping myself. I'm fully capable, others are not so lucky.

I'm sorry, I just don't buy it. The DEA said the same thing about prop 215. They would continue to go after the biggest and the baddest, just like they've been doing for the past 15 or so years. They simply don't have the resources to enforce the current law, how the fuck would they enforce it if prop 19 would've passed? I'll answer for ya..............they couldn't!!!!!!! Not possible! It's just a lot of lip service to scare people. Seems like it worked.:cuss:

Grovenments learned early on how to oppress the people. People have not yet learned it's you who holds the power not the government. Governmets should be afraid of the people not the other way around.

Wow the ignorance in this thread is unbelievable. We have power over the government and the DEA cant arrest people for growing because they dont have the man power? Holy shit people. Get yourselves together.

i just wanna say nebraska would have gone for MJ if 19 passed. and if nebraska would do it i could promise many other states would. And id rather be able to smoke with any friend with an ounce in my house than have to have a card to do it. either way feds say its illegal. sure it starts in cali, but cali being greedy by not wanting their laws changed pretty much ruined it for the rest of the country. Growers there would of had less worries, a card that says 99 plants vs prop 19 makes no difference cuz either way its illegal. Prop. 19 had the chance to make feds re-think the prohibition, but it went their way so they dont have to rethink it. just saying prop. 19 is better than medical cards because its not about how many u can grow or how much or where to buy, its about who and where can you do it.
