Your garden is looking great!

My butternut squash are taking over the place but my zucchini luckily sits just a bit higher and has been fruiting well.

thanks, but i can't wait till i start to get some nice fruits showing instead of tons of flowers and bud sites, lol.. i do have about four or five tomato's that are tiny, and the start of a few zuchinni's, but nothing big like what you've got.. dying to get a big cucumber too.. got tons of tiny sprouts, but nothing to get excited over..

well i actually live on a farm here in kenya, i would show all the stuff in the green houses but a lot of the crop is contracted and sold to the government so they know how they look like , call me paranoid but ad rather not put it up here, as the newb here they let me grow my own things away from the farm and here are a few ( a little ghetto but its what we live on we never buy veggies and we never eat any genetically modified plants or animals/ eggs with hormones, perks of being the guy who grows the crap in the supermarkets,

first my tomatoes, these as you can see are original strains (small plant small fruit) but the flavor is awesome and if you do it right they liv for ever, for example these are 9 months old well like a year but they have been fruiting for 9 months, i keep em going by clipping the flowers between harvests giving them 3 weeks or so of veg but the plants are old and you can tell from the discoloration but al be getting one more harvest before i pull them out i think.

close ups of all 10 plants
090711-1254.jpg
tried to get them al in but my phone cam sux
090711-1253(002).jpg
this is my cherry tomato plant they never really need luv this one just goes no cliping it constantly has fruit all the time, its also taller than me and the longest vine is almost 9 feet (mutant plant)
090711-1324.jpg
this are the tomatoes left from last harvest which was about 2 1/2 weeks ago , they go fast cuz visitors take em to :( these are still here cuz they haven't ripened yet, i takem out before they do cuz birds here eat any thing red
090711-1039.jpg
these are the ones am currently growing in my green house i can't say these are totally original and untampered cuz amiran kenya has strained them and prolly done more to make them able to grow closer together, but out of all the strains they sell i think this one tastes the best i don't have any of the pics of the fruit but i might in a few weeks.
090711-1040.jpg
at the back of my green house i have the Gmo tomatoes, these are amiran's "best" highly modified they grow huge and fast but they lack the flavor that i love so much (there in twos to see which one grows faster and incase one dies cuz i started them there straight from the nursery, they will be culled this week after they all grow there first true leaves)

some pics of the gmo fruits

this is a small corn plantation at the back of the house, there not to healthy cuz the soil was not conditioned but we had extra seeds and corn willl grow virtually any where so we tossed them back here and they worked so i take it as a win
090711-1037.jpg
also sitting in unconditioned soil are these collards this things do well regardless there about 3 weeks old there not for eating but for feeding the rabbits the ones we use for food are taken care of and are at the farm.

this is a plant all you guys in the UK should know very well, this is stinging nettle , its a great companion plant and also good in some soups and stews, we also like to put it in mash potatoes ( don't knok it till ya try it :)

090711-1038(002).jpg
well for these guys i took a page out of the guerrilla growing guide and also a page from the landscaping guide to use up the empty space between the raised beds that my leek and spinach seeds are nursing in. these are cayenne peppers , i dug the holes lined them with poly thin and put in conditioned soil with enough manure to last until there mature and on top more manure siting on a poly thin paper with holes to let the water in.
090711-1255(001).jpg
and recently my passion fruit vines have grown, just a few more weeks until they begin to fruit, (but one is very near the hives so al be getting stung while watering it ><

well this is one of my areas out of 3 al see if i can get pics of the others which have my other peppers more corn sugar cane and lavender and sage

looks pretty sweet mugan, it would be nice to live some where where it stays warm enough to run plants all year round... around my way, i may get four or so good months of growing... my one buddy lives in florida and he gets to grow some of his stuff pretty much year round too... sounds sweet..
i don't have a clue what that stinging nettle stuff is, is it more like a turnup or a root plant, or more like an above ground plant like a tomato or the like??

nettle is a leafy green, you can cook it like cabbage or spinach its got a nice smell to it but the taste is acquired and i for one have acquired it lolz, also before its boiled the leafs and stem have stings that have been equated to a bee sting, the more it stings you tho the more you build a tolerance i would say am about where when it stings i don't freak but i do my best not to get stung its not very amm.. comfortable lolz

My first Tomato plant 1.50 Red Brandywine Heritage. She is over 8ft tall,I know no pics no plant but i'm tired of buying cameras just for them to walk off.Anyway I had a little bump then PH'd down and she's fuckin thriving.Fruit is big but not massive. Its cool to have old men gawk at that bitch and wonder how I got her that big.Guess I'll school em on bud when it gets legalized.Hopefully they will make it until then.Anyway I'm using the Hempy Method on the Tomato plant.Time consuming but i dont have shit to do anyway.Go Slow:weed:

my cantaloupe have flowers. :)
nice fdd'ed.. mines loaded w/ nice big yellow flowers too.. wish they had some fruit on them though.. this is my first attempt at canteloupes and depending if they do good, i will be growing them every year..usually do pretty good with cucumbers and zuchinni's and stuff like that, so hopefully the canteloupe's will do good as well.. i've got my fingers crossed, and like fdd'ed, i've got lots of lovely yellow flowers, so it's looking pretty good.. ;)
