Well I am super bored and figured I would see how many of you people have dogs. I am a pitbull owner and shes the shit. Shes half brendal and half blue. I was told she was reverse brendal but IDK.
I figured it would be cool to have a thread discussing training techniques and other info related to raising and training dogs as well as introducing them.

My dogs name is MaMa. 9 mos old.

first focus on obedience the dog needs to be perfect in that aspect before training for defense. Basically get the dog to where it doesn't need a leash and will stop whatever it is in the middle of if you call it. I would pay for a trainer if that's what you want from your dog. Also some dogs just don't have the temperament for it so it may be hard to find a dog that is able to handle the job. Police pay thousands for training and finding the right dog.

Trained mine to attack on command at get this... the YMCA. He backed a first-time date who thought he had 'priviledges' right out the door. He would sit and growl on command, stand and growl on command and attack whenever I wanted. Best part, he would stop on command-instantly.

It takes time but the persistance pays off.

My YMCA did it about 3 times a year and had beginner, intermediate and advance. But, I paid extra for the security training. Best money I ever spent and I loved my dog even more for how safe I felt.
