leave more hose on your buckets then you can move em easier..ur Ebb system..
Way too much trouble, IMO. Then you need to make damn sure all the hoses are always flat.
I do that shit exactly like you said 1st time. Set it up, plug that shit in and let it work.
The best genetics I can get. Advanced Nutrients. Hortilux bulbs. Lumatek digital ballsts. Raptor Hoods. Perfect Environment. ShhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiT.

Out of curiosity, how much do you guys usually spend on enough nutes (start to finish) for 12 plants?

I have been thinking about Heavy 16, but I haven't bought anything yet. Stuff runs ~$250 for enough to run 12 on a 8-10 week schedule.

prob about 5 to 7 hundred ....i think the bb works best if you keep action in the res when used in hydro.but it will give you great buds and no taste change unlike gravity and some others you can flush for a year and still taste in the product

Advanced Nutrients:
I bought 10 Liter jugs of Sensi 2-part Grow and Bloom. They were $145 each, so for $300 I had (4) 10L jugs of that shit.

Here is where I really get stupid. I bought all 4 boxes of 1 Liter amendments, then as they run out I am replacing them with 4 Liter jugs. Here is the price break down on that bullshit.

Hobbyist Bundle (1 L) $180
B-52 (4L) $125
Big bud (4 L) $123
Voodoo Juice (4 L) $300
Overdrive (4 L) $107

Expert Bundle (1 L) $190
Bud Candy (4 L) $71
Piranha (4 L) $600
Final Phase (4 L) $46

Professional Bundle (1 L) $185
Tarantula (4 L) $600
Nirvana (4 L) $73
Sensizym (4 L) $100

Great Masterbater Bundle (1 L) $170
Bud Ignitor (4 L) $207
Rhino Skin (4 L) $93
Bud Factor X (4 L) $210

I will start tweeking the recipe down the road perhaps.

The PH perfect says you must use exactly what they say, the second you start customizing
the recipe you are on your own PH/PPM wise. I said OK fuckers, lets see. I swear I never once used a pen the entire run.
Not once, and it was by far beyond my expectation. I am no hurry to change anythin. This is what I did though,
I decided to pull the trigger so I shopped around and bought in bulk. I would imagine that saved me atleast a grand.

the ph perfect is just a base. you can use one an additive or all no worry .i use none an prods with it and no probs but when doing so i do keep a eye on the ph and so far seems pretty stable at 5.8 no matter what so im happy

Sounds like a large range of pricing.

There's such a large variance between what people use, I like the idea of keeping it simple.

Simple.
I used FF Ocean Forest soil and Fox Farm nutes for soil plants.
Bucket system with genera hydroponics synthetic nutes for my hydro plants.

After so many harvests I started complicating things a little more. With amazing results.
