Why do people bitch about helping newbies??

I asked for help once. The only response I got was a response from a man who told me something along the lines of "I want you to buy a shovel, go out into the woods and dig a hole. Now lay in it and shoot yourself in the head".

I haven't asked riu for help since then :lol:

Yeah man, the dude even followed me around a little after that thread to fuck with me lol.

In his defense, I asked a really dumb question.... a question that I could have found the answer to in a 5 minute google search.

People who bitch about helping noobs likely don't know much and therefore can only bitch or troll on them. Now, of course, there are noobs who ask dumb fuck questions... which does deserve a troll or three... But I think you will find that people are helpful to noobs when the noob in question is asking a thoughtful, serious question.

I feel this thread is a bitch/complaint... and so you therefore fall in one of the three categories mentioned above...

I'd help people out if I knew what I was doing. I'm a newb myself, I'm on my first grow right now. But I do like to help other newbs with their newbie questions that I probably just found the answer to. Pass around knowledge guys..

Ill help ya lil dude. Im a newb too but i know almost as much as the "pros" around here. Ill give ya my opinion on whatever ya want. You want a to get list? I got ya covered ;) ya want a how to grow your plant tutorial? I got ya covered ;) you got plant problems? I got ya covered, and if i dont know i know peps that will know ;) my pm box is always open to newbs. Its just kinda sad that its always the newbs that take the time to teach the newbs, ah well, we newbs gotta stick together :) edit- heres a pic for all you pros of my first plant ever. How do ya like that "pros"?

Well being a mod has nothing to do with it. If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? Come on now, calling someone an asshole that bitches about helping a noob is wrong??? Don't you feel that "bitches" is too strong of a word? Noobs need all the help they can get; if someone doesn't want to help then they should stay out of the noob section or just not answer the question. I could use my ninja/Jedi powers to stop it but I can't do that here because that's against the rules.
