Why is the US South such a backwards shithole?

actually, they are.

http://www.livescience.com/46123-many-americans-creationists.html

Religion was positively tied to creationism beliefs, with more than two-thirds of those who attend weekly religious services espousing a belief in a young Earth

"Religious, less educated, and older respondents were likelier to espouse a young Earth creationist view — that life was created some 6,000 to 10,000 years ago — according to the poll."

Older and less educated. Old people die and more people are educated.

Like I said things are changing. That article and poll doesn't match what I've seen with my own eyes.

"Americans consistently report high levels of belief in the supernatural. About 80 percent of Americans believe in miracles and three-quarters believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, according to a 2013 Pew survey."

Wow. 3/4 of Americans believe in the virgin birth of Jesus.

I get it. There is a problem with how some Christians act. Then again they are not really a christian.

I have even said some shameful things. I have changed my thinking on some things.

part of romans fourteen nlt..my preferance
1Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. 2For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables.3Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them5...in the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable... is wrong to eat something if it makes another person stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else if it might cause another believer to stumble. 22You may believe there’s nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who don’t feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right. 23But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something,or do anything, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions

So you're not changing anything. Keeping the status quo. No need to troll. The situation with the crackhead coworker just happened and my girl got fired. Her boss was doing coke in the bathroom and sending her bible quotes every morning. The crackhead was "losing" inventory left and right and she as the manager was supposed to call him on it. When she called him on it he would sulk and go home finally after the last crack induced heart attack she forced them to fire him. 2 weeks later they fire her for insubordination and chastise her for turning her back on a crackhead. She was calling them out on all the money that was being lost and they were trying to hide It. But It was UnChristian if her to fire a crackhead. The other idiot she works with bought an fo wheeler when his daughter was sick and needed an operation. She had to process the paperwork to help them get Medicaid or whatever. Good thing he votes Republican. Seriously this shit is killing me slowly.

I lived in NC, it was to be my Shangdi-La, from a landscape perspective nothing could seem better.
Mountains in the west, and the ocean in the east, seemed great, so I moved down there.
Oh man what an ugly place, everyone hates each other I really could not believe it. Blacks hate whites
Whites hate blacks and on.....They rate of pay (where I lived) was embarrassing, and the neighbors,
well lets just say I was not going to grow in my house. Down south they say they can fix any thing, but whats
funny about that, I have never seen more broken down cars in my life, had to laugh about that. NC is
truly a Beautiful State, and has a lot to offer, you just have to be picky about it. My two cents for what it's
worth, Have a great day:bigjoint:

The person who isn't going to take food stamps away from my new neighbor. She is a newly separated mother of 2 who left her abusive military husband. We're helping her out by watching the kids and sharing meals altogether. Don't need church or a xenophobic pastor to tell me how to act. Yeah rednecks those are NY values too.

Wow, you are going into some really deep ignorance here. No, it is never ok for an adult to have sex with a 10 year old or 13 year old for that matter. Leave the kids alone to grow up and become better people than you. Which wouldn't be difficult.

Your post speaks volumes for the OP's correct assessment of what a dumbfuckedupshitholeofalandofassholes the deep south is. Or at least the white jerks like you living there make it so.
Yes. It is absolutely wrong to have sex with a ten year old.

I wish robroy would just say such. I get what he is saying.

18 is an arbitrary number. Some 18 year olds are mature and responsible enough to have sex and the consequences that come with it. Some are not.

I get how if an 18 year has sex with a 17 year old a week from their birthday and getting charged with statutory rape is kind of messed up.

17, 18, 19 all arbitrary numbers.

It is one thing for an 18 year to have sex with a 17 year, when that weeks difference won't mean much when they are 25 or 30.

It is a completely different thing for a man to sleep with a child. 18 and on up. A ten year old is innocent and no one should want to sleep with a ten year old.

There may be a gray line with two teenagers but a grown man sleeping with a child needs his dick cut off.

Hell, 18 is legal but a man my age sleeping with one is disgusting.

doesn't matter.

a full two thirds of christians think the earth is 6,000 years old.

argue with facts some more, i enjoy watching it.

"As part of the Values and Beliefs Survey, Gallup called a random sample of 1,028 landline and cellphone users and asked them which of three descriptions most closely matched their beliefs: that humans have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God guided this process; that humans have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God had no part in this process; or that God created human beings pretty much in their present form sometime in the last 10,000 years or so."

1028 people do not make if truth. That's hardly enough people to be accurate.

"About half of Americans believe humans evolved over millions of years, with most of those people saying that God guided the process. Religious, less educated, and older respondents were likelier to espouse a young Earth creationist view — that life was created some 6,000 to 10,000 years ago — according to the poll."

Fifty percent of american believe in evolution and most said god guided it.

Seems like that kind of condridicts itself.

So I got to take the word over 1028 people over the thousands of Christians I've talked to.

It doesnt. It reaffirms your feeble reasoning abilities.
Im re-declaring that youre a fool. The evidence? Pretty much every wortless thread youve initiated. Youve proven it beyond any shadow of a doubt
This might be the Second thread I've initiated.

Your suggestion that it's a common thing I do only shows you to be the fool.

No it is not acceptable anytime anywhere sure back in the cave men days is one thing. This is 2016 any man who fucks a child needs be dragged down the road with a rope tied to his dick till death in public view so anyone thinking funny thoughts knows their ain't a cozy PC cell for them.

Personally why I would never call the police many hikers go missing around here.
You admitting that back in caveman days proves my point. There are some scenarios where it wouldn't necessarily be a horrible act.

In 2016 America no way. But in the jungles of the congo, Amazon and other still stone age living peoples? Well they fit your criteria don't they?

that's actually a really damn good sample size.

and it doesn't contradict itself. about 40% of americans in general believe the earth is 6000 years old. among religious people, not just americans in general, that number skyrockets to about two thirds.

these are just facts. don't let them upset you. you're better than that. you've proved it.

I just don't get it. Out of all the churches I've been to and all the sermons I've heard I can't recall a single one that has said the earth was 6-8,000 years old. I know that doesn't make it fact, just puzzles me is all.

People can focus on what they want to. The world is what you make it.

Some of the best memories I have are from being stationed in the south. We used to go to a club that a lot of ethnicities would go to.

All types of music. Have you ever seen a club full of blacks, Hispanics, and white people dancing together? One song would be hip hop, then country, maybe pop.

I had a lot of fun. Made a lot of friends.

Yes, there are much more important things!!!

California just passed laws against E-sigs. Not because of any health issues, just because they dont like them.

Thank god they got that crisis behind them!!
