and WOH has not been the same since... as Moe is the heart & soul of this thread......but I know he does want us to keep on growing and posting pics and chatting and share ideas and asking questions...so to that

I am really at lost as when to hell I should chop....these damn auto-flowers are pissing me off big time.

I'm not impressed with this strain....it's not meeting my expectations, and my standards are likely lower than yours!

Almost all the trichromes I see are milky....very few are clear unless you look at the bottom scrub buds......but I do not see any amber anywhere, yet.

IMO...they are running into overtime.....so he game should be over but yet I don't feel comfortable/confident chopping....feedback welcomed
Ahh Grasshopper, you are at the point of bliss ready to head to nirvana, but waiting is a virtue. Remember the maturity dates given by breeders is a best case situation, some strains do take longer than expected. Give it the time it needs to finish, it shouldn't be more than a week at most and once they start it will be quick. By the way what type of buzz do you like? An all milky trichrom buzz I have found to be very racy.

Actually I’m not being impatient and I understand the timeframes stated by the breeder will vary, but rather my concern is all about this strain itself…..I am not impressed how it is progressing and I fear another week or 2 or 3 won’t help much, as you just can’t sew a silk purse from a pigs ear.

I'm okay with all milky trichromes....but it's all about the bud itself.....it's just not maturing the way I would consider as normal, from my limited experience

Your plants look pretty damn good Sunking. Some strains just dont make solid indica type nugs. I actually prefer my smoke to be mostly all milky with just a tad of amber. Seems like the smoke tastes better even if you iss out on an extra 5-10% weight. It looks like you will have a very nice yield off those girls. How much light are you using?

Hey everyone...checking in again, Tropical storm Andrea is right on top of us, Welcome to hurricane season, so much for the fishing trip...

Plants are being cared for, and that's a good thing...

I just wish I had not decided to stay away for almost 2 weeks...I wanted to go home tomorrow and that' not happening, so I'll be here until Tuesday...

Previously, I went by not only the trichromes but the hairs turning red and the bud swelling/puffing up near the end and just the overall look saying "chop me please".

....the trichrome i do see are basically on the leaves close to the buds...and i don't really see red hairs...and the buds just seem to be mostly leaf....the tops of the buds are very thin and sparse (especially the 2L bottles)

So I'm still struggling as to when to chop as I just do not get this warm fuzzy feeling from these gals..... IMHO, my pictures make these plants look way better than they really are.

I have a 600 watt HPS

Hey all, I finally made it to a hydro shop...wow I was semi impressed, it was small... I was looking for stuff I could take back in my suitcase...not many powers there...kinda afraid of them not dissolving...but I did buy General Hydroponics Kool Bloom, anyone used it?

I use GH Maxi-Gro and Maxi-Bloom which are powders....I use a milk frothier to mix up the solution...works like a charm

" WOH has not been the same since... as Moe is the heart & soul of this thread" Yes we all miss Moe and he had a way of coming up with interesting links and discussions during lulls in the activity here. Right now I think everyone here is nearing the end of their spring time grows and just "busy". Let's keep his train rolling, if not for his honor, for the sake of our hobby (as he always put it).....

QFT. I hope that he is as well as might be.

My first two hempy pots are rocking!

Now, I used them with Tomatoes outside, but this counts. ;0)

This is a Cherry Tomato:

I am considering setting up a 3X3 5 gallon bucket of either RDWC or hempy buckets.

Q: What do you all use to catch run off from hempys?

Take care,

JD

P.S. I need to take more notes....you might be surprised at how fast all the growth
above happened.....in the order of a month or so. FAST.

Hardware store bro. Depending on what size hole you have in your bucket, you can get threaded hose adapters, then run gravity collection. Use a nylon around the threaded end to filter perlite and coco etc.

Also yes let's continue this thread in Moe's honor... it really is an amazing hobby.

I was using cheapo plastic drip pans from walmart until one of them broke and almost caused a short in my grow room, i have since started using some Rubbermaid tubs that i chopped down to 1/4 there original height...

Yeah, I was thinking that all I need to look for is a sturdy container
that has the right "footprint".

Good stuff (thank you too High)

JD

P.S. I am in a man-cave and have little tolerance to leaks. I want to
build a RDWC too, and have the water and air pumps already....but
I will need to make sure that I can find a water-tight way to connect
lines to my Home Depot Buckets....though I am also open to buying
rounded-square containers that might connect easier.
