ok so on that a speed control on the fan would help the carbon scrubber would help and they also sell silencers for the fan but i have n experience with that i made my own and it worked but that was before i had the scrubber hooked up

and i would get the t5 you already have an led the bothe worlds together would be good enough since you already have your blackstar

So I just search t5 grow lights? Any good retailers? I cant find t5s that set up in corners, is there a guide to setting up t5s in a cab corner?

Heres an update. I added the little lock to keep the doors properly closed. Temps go from 74-78. Been feeding the same nutes and the calmagic. The 2 girls are growing past the light now, so I have them bent kind of at the corners of the lights. They seem to be getting light still. Oh I also added that net material to block the fan from cutting any leaves.

I've had some suggestion to get a tent and hps but I need ideas for this cabinet. I need to know what I should do to improve the growth and bud. I am debating to get the t5's in the corner because if I end up getting a tent it will be a waste. Even smaller suggestions will help. I like posting, I will also check your thread and post as well.

I found that window foam at Walmart in the hardware will cover the cracks if you install it right as a lip behind the other door

^^^^ How are your temps right now/ seems like overkill to add more light.....You could drop in two (26w)Cfl at each end to add more light/improve spectral output...if your temps are in check...........good luck

The pics shows 74 he could easily add way more light and not go above 84 ^^^^^

I would like to play cfls in there but no room. I had a cfl I was trying to place but it would be touching the leaves. I'm going shopping tonight on my day off, I was thinking of picking up those cfl lights that look like frisbies. They are skinny and weird shaped but I think it could benefit me. Also for the tent... I'm looking online and I think I want a big tent, the biggest ones grow sites have, I keep ending up with no room in flower. I trying to maximize my yield but it feels likes I'm doing the opposite by growing to much in veg. In reality when growing in veg I was told to stop at half the cabs size but now im realizing it needs to smaller than half. Does anyone know of guides to fix overgrowth?

I've never studied 12/12. Wouldn't that cause them to flower right away?

Don't forget about T8s, which while not as luminous as T5s, run much cooler than T5/CFLs . This means you can let the plant touch them with no problems . T8s don't get a lot of respect in these parts, but work great as secondary lights. And I've looked into those round lights, not a good idea IMHO, but then again I've been wrong before . I just never found a light like that with good lumens per watt. And X maybe you should just bend your plants over and tie them to the side of their containers or somewhere. They should still be a little flexible, especially at the top. Just be a little creative. Good Luck!

Me honestly if I had the money which obvious u do I would get 250 hps in that cab or add cfls in there.. I know people said this already but getting a hps in there will help alot in yield..

Either that or go with 1-2 plants in a scrog because penetration is weak on those lights.

i dont think that cab could hold the temp of a 250w hps maybe a 150w but then again its so small the blackstar would have to be taken out and it would be useless

Yay replies! I work alot and don't go out to clubs so I'm able to save money. I saw the t5s, the t8s, the circular lights, and some others. I asked the staff at the hardware store how to plug in the circular light but no one knew. It had a 4 prong thing. I also saw some other posts here about hps. Hps would give good yield but I'm actually starting to see some good results now. Cfl is a bad option, I was running 240 cfl actual wats with 14 lights. It was alright but the led is kicking cfls ass. So cfl - led - hps. I'm still looking for a tent. Maybe one of the bigger ones and an hps 1000. If anyone has seen my previous grow its funny how I'm upgrading every grow. One day in the near future I will start competing with the medicinal cup. Lol I think I have a long way to go though.

You're going to get the best yield possible from LEDs with a scrog. I just tie mine down to achieve a scrog-like effect because i'm too lazy to scrog but yeah it's the way to go for best yields - multiple colas at even distance from the light. SOG would work too as long as you go from clone and don't let them go too long before flower.

What is the difference between scrog and sog? Screen of green and sea of green? I'm still really tempted to buy a tent now.

correct. sog's a bunch of smaller plants growing straight up in columns. scrog's a bushier plant(s) trained under a screen.

Okay cool! I'm in a pickle, I want hps but I won't have proper ventillation until I move and have an entire grow room. I saw a huge mylar tent on amazon for 150! I might buy it but than what about this led light I bought? It was a decent amount of money and I thought I could get comparible results to a lower watt hps. But if I'm getting the tent I should get a a hps that will run with my inline fan 4" I have now with a cool tube no? What to do...

I've got an important question. I lst'ed one of the colas because the top was on the led. It is now dry and orange, ill tkae pictures after but the tip where the bud is -- is now dry and almost dead looking. Do I take it off? Leave it alone? Add calmag to where its dry and such at the tip? The rest of her is growing nice except that tip of bud.
