Miracle Grow Love It Or Hate It?

Ok so recently I put my foot in my mouth and bashed MG.
Because every friggin body has problems with it. That's why.
Except I grew from seed....wait...I don't like that color...
About fifteen seeds in nothing but Miracle Grow Organic Choice.
And they turned out like this...

So for the record I like the results. IDK why ppl have probs with it.
mb they add more fertilizer and burn the shit out of everything.
Impatience gets you crappy weed. It aint the soils fault.

Don't blame the soil blame the grower. It isn't the best but it sure does work just fine for the money.

MG is just fine for growing. The people that hate it probably added fertilizer cuz they didnt know MG supplied nutes for like a month maybe more, and burned em.

Why didn't they know it tells ya on the bag that it feeds for up to 6 months? I could see how that would be confusing..lol

Im with you man people love to hate MG for some reason. I think alot of it is people just repeat what they've heard and never used it themselves. Im using Organic Choice as well, seems good to me. Not the best but leaps and bounds above what everyone makes it out to be. I laugh at the MG bashing, its comedy to me.

Two cycles ago i did 3 plants pulled 17.5 oz. Last one was 7 clones that didn't veg very long and pulled 14 oz. All in MG, bring the haters.

Hate it. If you have a ph problem and need to flush, MG un-locks other nute's designed for later in the plant's life too early.
I like having little more control over the plants intake.

plants look nice and healthy

First time grower here, I am using a mix of miracle grow "moisture control" for the lower half of the pot and "organic mix" for the upper part. Lets see how this goes!

On first soil grow and I'm still debating between MG and Coco. Prob gonna do a half and half between the 2 mediums

@ Pure...I like the half and half idea. Does moisture control have a polymer called soil moist in it or something?
@ elru...I've never used coco and can't say anything about it. I liked the organic choice and didn't fert beyond a little Epsom salts with my usual watering. (1 tsp/gal) I think if you start with a nice rich medium u hardly need nutes at all till it's time to flower depending how long u veg for I guess

miracle gro doesn't have the cool graphics printed on the bag to help your plants grow.

mg is good when u use it with coco. at 50% mg 10% peat 40% coco

I like mg I think I'm gonna do the half and half with organic and moisture control and add some perlite don't know why ppl don't like it probly cuz they killed their plants like idiots

Miracle Gro 24-8-16 soluable is a a great fertilizer, although it is HIGHLY acidic.
it works great when balanced. when mixed at 1 TSP per gallon it lowers the PH atleast 2 full points.
we balanced with Potassium Silicate, and it takes about 2ML per gallon to balance.
if you didnt have a PH meter, i could easily see people locking their plants out with Miracle Gro solubles (especially if in MG soil.)

i dont get it either. if you think about it what other company has put so much time,money and effort into soils? How aren't they the best? They have to have things figured out, I like it. I thought o shit here we go i used shitty soil so i'm goin to get shitty pot. I use it outdoors yearly and just started indoors with it. I think it's up to the grower to figure out how to use the soil really. I also use their plant food and bloom booster. like mentioned if you dont have a way to measure ph well, you're more that likely gonna "hate mg".
